Rowling's signature, in which sits the piece de resistance: your very own copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, complete with metal skull, corners, and clasp; replica gemstones; and emerald ribbon.

Amazon are the only place to get this (they bid £1.9 million for the original) and its limited to 100,000 world wide, with all proceeds going to charity. If you are a big harry potter fan, this is a must have. I am guessing that these will never devalue and will possibly go up if you ebay it so it might even be worth investing in. Or it will make someone's Christmas.

But if not, the regular ediition is £3.49!

I am tempted but its £50 !!! :shocked:

I cancelled my pre-order yesterday. Was going to get it as a gift for someone but most people I quizzed in my family were apathetic about it. Sod 'em then!

OMG, check out the ebay prices on these babies !!!

They are averaging at least £100 each on open bidding, with lots of buy it now at £120-£150. One insane one at £1500 ! lol

I love the way that some are being sold as sealed, if I remember correctly the package didn't come sealed. The external box from Amazon did but the contents inside weren't sealed.

Not selling ours. It came out of the box once and it's gone back in and into a cupboard now.

I know, the best one is the one sold as "first edition", all 100,000 of it are First Edition as that is the first print run! Duh ! It is also listed as sealed, but then there is a photo of it opened to showed that it is the First run....so the "seal" has been broken then ! ;D

I've put mine back in the plastic wrapping too, and it's going somewhere dark too :D
