Up until now, I've always named mine after characters from the Simpsons but it gets a bit confusing. Whenever I look on the network, I have to try to remember which one is which (i.e. Quimby is gaming rig, Bart is download machine etc.). I'm going to redo them all in the near future and give them boring names which actually reflect which function they serve (i.e. Games, Downloads, Media etc.).

My PCs were always named after what they were, XP-2700, XP-3000 etc but the last PC I built was such a beast that I called it Bohemoth.

The current box sitting under my desk is just called Feek's Mac Pro which was the default.

My main PC has lots of fans and blue lights so it's called COBALTBREEZE.
The older one has been BLACKMONOLITH since it's inception 5 years ago. It's quite monotone and dull really.
The download box I assembled on a budget and gave me nothing but grief for 8 weeks is called BLUEGREMLIN as I gave the old beige box a custom blue paintjob.
The girlfriends lappie has a pink lid and is called PENELOPE.
The wireless SSID is FLAKEY ;)

My WPA key is so annoying that when I tried to hook up a portable device recently I discovered one of the characters in the key either didn't exist or didn't work on the device's keyboard.

I actually have to log into the router to look up the password because there's no way in hell I'd remember it. Fortunately you have to be connected first to do that so it's still secure. :D

I used to own chronoton.info (yes, I know that's a misspelling - should be chroniton - but I only found out after I'd registered it). It fell into disuse a few years ago and I didn't bother renewing it.

As for Iconia, you keep that away from my computers. I don't want any of your invasive programming getting in, thanks. Capt. Picard had enough trouble dealing with it. :p
