What sort of games does he like?

If he palys RPGs I'd go with Fallout 3 it is excellent! Since I bought a 360 I haven't really used a PC for gaming but there are a few PC gamers about :)

Fallout 3 or Football Manager 2009. But I'm bias :p.

The PC version of Fallout 3 shipped with a large number of bugs. I'm one of the 'few' (according to Bethesda) who can't even get past the first few moments of the opening cutscene. 6 weeks since release and still no patch available from Bethesda.
There are also random crashes to desktop, stuttering, bugged quests etc

How about Spore or Far Cry 2?

He does like RPG, he's got a Star Wars one that he plays over and over and over and over... and an army one, so i think i'll go with Fallout 3... but i've just seen Red Alert 3 - isn't that supposed to be good?

COD5 isn't a patch on COD4 and thats best if he's going to play online. I like the COD games but I find that unless your going to play online they are a bit short.

Left 4 Dead is definitely the top online PC game at the moment, offline it's probably (in my opinion, is), Football Manager 2009 if he loved footy, or Fallout 3.

Definitely a good choice if he enjoys troubleshooting, bug fixing and installing patches.

HMV (had to go the cos using vouchers) only had COD 5 and Left 4 Dead so I bought COD5... if he dun like it he can always exchange it in.

Am I a bad g/f?
