We went late night Christmas food shopping at Tesco, I've never been this late before but we arrived at just after half past twelve and left around 02:00!

Hardly any customers, it was fun going around the shelf-stockers and all their big pallets of produce but they all seemed pretty happy and there was decent music being piped as well. All was good.

I had to giggle at this sign though.

They even underlined the spelling error :D

The scary thing is, that's been designed, proof read then sent to the printers and produced :/.

Haha I really don't see the point in doing that at this time of year as the stock isn't on shelves long enough ;D
I do face stuff off a lot in shops when I take stuff off shelves :o Its a habbit as I know what its like when people make a mess lol

Oh and shopping late at night is the best as its quiet and no kids :D well apart from babies.
Faysh used to take our kids shopping late at night when they we're teething babies as the motion of car and trolly would sent them to sleep :D

I was conscious to take from shelves that hadn't been faced off, but when I had no choice, I didn't re-face afterwards!

Pointed out the card to the doris who was just about to restock the cream itself and she cracked up about it, we left her giggling and telling a friend about it.

I went with my mum to do a big christmas shop the other day at Sainsburys, went about about 6:30 in the evening and it was empty of people, all the shelves were full, was brilliant.

Whoever restocked the sandwich chiller in our local Tescos might need a telling off. Three stacks of pasta salads front to back. They got the front one right - 21st Dec, but put the 22nd Dec stock behind the 23rd Dec stock. :)

Saves the customers reaching to the back of the shelves though I s'pose ;D
They constantly go on about rotation but when I get in the shelves are ******, First hour last night I spent sorting the juices out, I moved around 130 one litre cartons around as the front were Feb5th & the back 25th Decemeber
It's a right pain in the arse as they are on us to sign an agreement on rotation but the shift before us don't do theres
On top of that Every single customer I have seen shop picks from the back of the shelves :D
If they don't & I like the look of them I walk pass them & whisper "Reach to the back for the best" ;D;D;D

I'm surprised just how many people don't spend the few extra seconds it takes to reach to the back. Obviously, if everyone did it there wouldn't be any point in doing rotation. :)

We need to spread the word as Rotating jam packed shelves sucks the big one ;D

Worth noting it can make the difference of up to 5 days

Also Double check your meat as they take this right up to the Limit & even if brown if in date it gets sold, Reach a little & get meat that will last a week rather than a day.

Can you freeze cream? :D

I don't really bother with dates. If I'm eating it in a few days it doesn't matter and if I'm not it's going in the freezer anyway :)

I used to spend my Sunday mornings at Morrisons doing that and it was the least favourite part of the job.

And Vix, you can freeze cream. My Mum used to get fresh clooted cream sent up from Devon and freeze that without a problem :)

The scary thing is, that's been designed, proof read then sent to the printers and produced :/.

nah, they print them on site. just type them into a computer and away you go. Still should have been proof read, and probably wasn't.
