for I have just cured my christmas present for 2 hours at 200 degrees in the oven :D:D

I got a wonderful cast iron grill pan for cooking steaks :D:D

Stupid oven needs a clean so has been smoking like a bitch.
Are there any good miracle cleaners for ovens? I want minimal effort, maximum payoff :p

In our student house, we got Mr Muscle stuff, a foam that sticks to the insides in a spray can.

I dunno how well it worked though, cos I just did the spraying and the house 'whipping boy' was made to do the actual cleaning part afterwards.

We have a cleaner and she always asks for Mr Muscle. However I'm not entirely sure she is referring to oven cleaner ;)

Oven mate - the company I worked for last used to sell it and it's the dogs danglies.

Oooh excellent :D

I've also just been told that strong oven cleaners like those are excellent for deep-cleaning cast iron pans once or twice a year before re-seasoning them.

I'm actually looking forward to it sooo much.
I haven't cooked a steak in my flat yet and I've been here a year!
I refuse to cook a steak in a normal frying pan, and if anyone suggest grilling a steak to me they get a swift slap to the chops!
