View Full Version : Kawasaki to quit Moto GP?

Real shame if that's true. The green bikes haven't been all that fantastic of late but it'll be a shame to lose them. I was looking forward to seeing Marco Melandri on one after the shocker of a season on the Ducati.
I wonder who is next. It wouldn't surprise me if Suzuki pulled out.
It's a shame any team has to pull out, but I can't say it surprises me a great deal. Aren't Kwak the smallest of the big four Jap manufacturers? I'd imagine their budget isn't massive and when you get even Honda pulling out of F1, much smaller concerns like Kwak will be tightening their purse string when they have to as well.

It is a shame when teams pull out due to financial problems unlike Ferrari spitting their dummy out and threatening to quit if everyone needs to have the same engines. I've never watched much Moto GP but would happily give it a blast.
I enjoy Moto GP so much more than F1. It is probably almost true to say that in 1 Moto GP race there is often more overtaking than an entire season of F1.

Sorry I don't want to turn this into an F1 bashing thread but it's one motor sport that bores me to tears :(
Confirmed (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/motorbikes/7811975.stm) :( Arse :(
Big Boo :(
Kwak are still in WSB's though which is good :)

Not good. I wonder how this will affect their sports production bikes despite them still showing in WSB?
Bad news - end of an era there.
Still can;t wait for the MotoGP season to start. Looking forward to the new BSB season too.
btw +1 on F1 being pants!!

They are only quitting GP Dudes not WSB or BSB, No change really
Shame MGP has gone to Silverstone too. It's a nice enough circuit, but for viewing, it's crap ::/:
