The MG ZT 260 SE is an utter bargain!
Yes, it's a Rover 75 in drag, but the 4.6l Mustang V8 makes up for a hell of a lot. :D
Add the heated memory seats, climate control, Xenons, plus the BMW Satnav, TV, Harmon Kardon stereo, parking sensors, space for 4 real people and the fact that it hapilly goes sideways.... apparently... :o
Less than 5 years old and all for under 7k.... I may have found my new 'comfortable' car for when I need one.
And for some reason my browser seem to have located a page for Mustang Superchargers without me selecting it... Ummmm. ;) Ooooh 520bhp possible...

They've rebadged it you fool!! :p
MG has firmer suspension and slightly larger brakes iirc. But it's still essentially the Rover 75.
Now eBay a junked Saleen Mustang and you're laughing, very hard ;)

I've seen a stripped ZT-T 260 that has been used for trackdays - running 450bhp ish. :D
Silly... very silly. :D
I actually had a go in a ZT-190 and actually quite liked it. For the money that one is a bargain as well.

I have liked the look of the 75 since its release, I love the lines the chrome & the small windows :o
The ZT260 is RWD is it not? In which case it does make it very tempting!

And it kills the environment as well. I would be tempted to get it and convert to LPG. However I would be doing circa 20k/year in it.

Depends what you mean by that, because NONE of the running gear comes from Rover.
The engine is from Ford, the 'box is a Tremec, the suspension is entirely BMW as Rover didn't have the money to design their own and the brakes are AP items.
Astonishing cars and the tuning potential/cost ratio is IMHO unbeatable.

Certainly is. Couple of problems with that though, the transmission tunnel means there is no place to put your left foot anymore.
But you get a 260bhp v8 instead of a Rover K Series...

I know what you mean, basically the image the car projects. Personally I don't care what other people think about what I drive as I buy my car for me, so the badge snobs can go do one, :)
I think the interior os pretty good TBH. Oodles of leather and, while not upto the standard of the Germans, it's pretty tasteful IMHO.
The supercharger kit you found is probably the same as Gibbo fitted to his Saleen, so depending what end pulley you chose you would be looking at somewhere between 520 and 600 bhp (these engines are good for upto 650bhp on standard internals).
Let's see what the badge snobs think when your oh-so-Rover outdrags them in their M5's :D
