Sweet!! This looks good. I'm a huge fan ever since I played with the figurines as a child.

Niiiiiiiiiice!
Looking forward to that.
Was the title intentional? :D
I loved the last film so hopefully this'll be great too. My only gripe in the last one was that in some of the close up shots in the fast moving fight scenes, you couldn't really tell what was what. Other than that, I liked it :)
Most excellent! *airguitar!*

No the title wasn't lol! Can a passing mod change it please?
Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ykkbqxPc6k&fmt=22) the 720p YouTube version (look epic tbh) :)
I loved the first one so this is going to be even better hopefully. I thought the first one had a few weak moments but who cares? It's massive, armoured robots with weapons
Am I the only one who didn't really enjoy the first one, and thinks the second looks even worse, and dare I say, a bit unneccessary?

I only got round to watching the first one yesterday and totally agree - in some of the fight scenes you just couldn't tell who was who and what was actually going on.
Plus I've seen the guy who played the lead soldier bloke in something else and he annoyed the hell out of me in that so I couldn't warm to him.
Oh and why wasn't Jazz a Martini 911?
And why wasn't Bumblebee a Beetle?
Prime had too much bling and didn't die
No Soundwave
Not enough made of Starscream although his voice was spot on
Hmm, maybe I didn't really like it that much after all :D

I know what you mean Lopez. Almost all other comic book adaptations were made fairly true to the originals, yet Transformers has blatently sold itself to the highest bidder. There's one character that got written into the script right at the last moment, since an American car company decided they wanted to use the film to promote a newly released model. :(
Yes, on one hand that money can be used for a level of special effects that is nothing short of amazing.
But for a fan who liked the original G1 series I too wouldn't mind seeing more of the characters being kept as they were. I honestly don't mind e.g. Ratchet changing from an ambulance to a search and rescue vehicle, but Bumblebee being a totally different car? Same with Jazz, Iron Hide etc.
And don't even get me started on how they cocked up some of their names. And Shia Le Bouf. My word - how does that man keep finding work?

I found it largely forgettable.

Pretty much yeah, something about a cube and the two types of transformers both wanting it for good or evil. The end was really poor IMO, the military part, reverse engineering the cube and megatron to spawn mankinds modern technology. Along with the battle. It was plucked straight from Independance Day?
Dropping them into an ocean trench to hide the evidence so "nobody would ever know" seemed ludicrous. Wasn't there just a huge fight in the middle of the city? Buildings trashed? Army rolling in jets and tanks? Everybody in the city blind are they?
Completely rushed and no need for a sequel IMHO.
I'll leave now, the Transformer fans are circling. :D

Yes there are flaws, but it is one with giant transforming robots so I think people shouldn't really try and look too hard at it. It was a visual feast based on the toys that I used to play with as a kid, and that's how I'm going to treat the second one.
I honestly didn't mind the things you described and other factual errors e.g. them being dropped into a place that wasn't the deepest point of the oceans (Lorentian Abyss v Mariana's Trench?).

I'll join in!!!
I actually enjoyed it. I don't care if it wasn't as it was "supposed" to be, as I just found it a good bit of brainless fun, cool cgi and the goodies won, foxy girl, action, and transformers. What more could you want?!

Edit - worth waiting for it to load up. To be honest though - this will probably be the last one I'll see. They're showing more and more now.

So they can only get better then....
Saw it this afternoon - awesome!
What a terriable film. The first had cheese in it but at a reasonable quantity.
This just went from one cheesy scene to the next.
More a comedy than an action. Dire dire attempt. More cheese than a cheese factory.

It's a sequel from Michael Bay.... You expected something good? ;)
Seems to be a love or hate film. Some people are raving about yet others found it a total borefest.
A review on Rotten Tomatoes described it as 'At once loud and boring, like watching paint dry while getting hit over the head with a frying pan.'
I was never hugely taken with the first one, so I doubt i'll bother with this one either. Shia The Poof annoys the hell out of me too.
Enjoyed the film but thought that the first half or so was very disjointed and the continual comedy was a tad annoying.
Better action bits than the first as they seem to have slowed it down a bit so you can actually see what's going on. :)
