Holy ******* **** !!! That is the god damned weirdest most complex & ironic story I have ever read.

They recreated that story at the very beginning of a film called Magnolia. Imo rubbish film and that part was the only good bit in it; now i find out it actually happened and therefore was not a bit of clever writing.

My mother's brother is my father's mother's son - who am I to my brother's mother's other brother?

It's an entertaining tale that I've heard a few times (and even read in a book who clearly didn't bother to check their facts) but that's all it is, it makes sense as an illustration of a logical problem but not as much else. :)

Was just going to mention that. Rung a bell straight away.
Didn't think the film was rubbish, it was good, Tom Cruise, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julliane Moore and John C Reilly were stunning in it, but it was perhaps a little long and often wandered without really having anything happen.

surely it's simple. It's manslaughter. Just because the man was trying to commit suicide doesn't change the fact.
