:D I've been longing for another good in-depth Baldur's Gate type RPG ever since BG2 came out. Nothing since has quite reached the same level as that.

This is THE game I've been waiting for :)

They've only just confirmed the console versions and it's the best of news. This could easily be my goty :)

Oooh I absolutely loved the BG series (along with Planescape Torment and Icewind Dale). Sounds excellent :D

BG was the title that got me hooked on RPG's. Prior to that I had played Diablo extensively for years but it wasn't strictly an RPG in the same manner. From BG I went to Ultima Online and was even more hooked.

Damn, that webby is blocked here at work :(

I lost interest in Baldurs Gate pretty quickly. I got fed up with getting zapped by a spell that killed half my party every time I stuck my nose in somewhere new. Icewind Dale wasn't much better although I at least got about half way through before losing interest.

Neither were a patch on Planescape Torment.

I played about 20 minutes of a Baldurs Gate demo and thought that it was decent and might buy it when it went cheap. Never did.

I still haven't completed BG2... started playing it in 2001/2002... loved it so much and got BG1 to play it through fully, then just.. ran out of time!!

Minsc and boo were great!

I'll always remember meeting the red dragon, who i hated, i got what i needed from him, saved the game and then threw my team at him for a laugh. After what seemed like an hour of frantic fighting to my shock the dragon died and left an uber double handed sword with his corpse.

It didn't give you any indication you could kill him, it was such a great feeling to have that sort of freedom.
