I might not be now as after visiting a friend we played FF7 and it's like showing a recovering Heroin addict, heroin. :o
So I might be giving up my life in exchange for FF7 for a few days :p
Excuses! I reckon it's because I've whittled your 2000+ point lead over me into a 230 point lead, which will be gone by the end of the weekend ;)

I saw that just after posting funnily enough :D
I don't mind, gives me motivation to claw it back ;)

Not sure yet, FF7 is on the PS2 on the tv next to me and well it's godly :o
Seriously it's like a moth to the flame.

I have a few questions thou.
1 - It didn't come with a headset, can i just get one off the shelf and it'll work?
2 - What charger kit should i get? Plug and play seems to be the prefer one i've heard.
3 - X-box live, will I have trouble getting on to it because its a 2nd hand one? I am going to get my own Gold membership. It also doesn't come with a network cable, I take it i can use a generic Cat 5 one?
4 - And what games do you guys play :D I plan to get PES 8 next week and PGR4 when it comes out.
5 - It comes with a component cable, and a HD in the box and 1 pad. What else should I get?
1 - It didn't come with a headset, can i just get one off the shelf and it'll work?
Yep, though if you need gold as well, I'll point you to something in Q3
2 - What charger kit should i get? Plug and play seems to be the prefer one i've heard.Play and charge kit is essential, £9.99 at dvd.co.uk :)
3 - X-box live, will I have trouble getting on to it because its a 2nd hand one? I am going to get my own Gold membership. It also doesn't come with a network cable, I take it i can use a generic Cat 5 one?
No trouble with Live, just create a new profile when you fire it up. As for gold, it's £35 RRP and the headset is about £15... so £50. Do yourself a favour and get this:
http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/1720595/XBox360-Live-Vision-Camera-12-Month-Live-Gold-Subscription/Product.html
You'll get 12 months gold, your headset, the webcam, 3 arcade games and 200 MS points for the same price :)
5 - It comes with a component cable, and a HD in the box and 1 pad. What else should I get?
Other than a play and charge kit, you dont need anything else really. I have the media remote (because I play a lot of media through it), and a VGA cable but they're only if you need them.
As for the games question, I'll let the multiplayer folk field that one ;)
Oh, and buy Guitar Hero. Grats on the 360 :D
Got very frustrated there very quickly :(
leowyatt
26-09-2007, 23:07
why was that Feek?
I think I saw maybe three or four people before I died over the whole three maps we played, I'd be looking for them using the map as best I could and then *bang* headshot and I was dead. It gets very frustrating after a while (plus I'm tired).
leowyatt
26-09-2007, 23:13
sorry to hear that :( if you fancy it tomorrow we should be playing again and there was good communication so I think you'd enjoy it more. There is nothing more frustrating than a headshot out of nowhere :(
Thanks Daz, just got another 360 pad off dvd.co.uk, will get the pack thing off play soon. Going to get the plug and play in town tomorrow since I can't even use it right now without it, so can't wait til saturday (may be even next monday) for it to arrive. :D

4 - And what games do you guys play :D I plan to get PES 8 next week and PGR4 when it comes out.
Get yourself Gears of War, Bioshock, Dead Rising, Oblivion and Forza 2, and they'll easily last you around 200 hours. Not to mention all the potentially amazing games due out before the end of the year :)
Oh, and the HL2 Orange Box is out soon. I'm sure the boat will be there for you this time ;) :p

There's a section in the game where you need to use a hoverboat to get through a radiated swamp like area. It's impossible to miss as the game leads you to it, but somehow Mondo managed to miss it, and tried to use God mode to get past the area as he was trying to walk over the swamp and dying all the time ;D ;D
...and then you get to a jump that requires the hovercraft to make it over to the next section. It's a long walk back again!

Think I'm going to have a go at properly customising my classes for COD tonight. Need to get the perks sorted. I'd love see sleight of hand, that looks ace especially as I have the saw weapon.
Regarding the MP5 I did find the silencer seemed to make it more deadly, well either that or I was aiming better ;D

My 3 perks are the ones that give you deeper bullet penetration (fnar), harder hitting bullets, and 3 x special grenades (flash bangs in my case). I may swap out the special grenade one and get either the rocket launcher, or the grenade launcher for my M4 Carbine.

the quiet running one would be cool to do so you can run around knifing people ;)
The UV Jammer would be good for a sniper I'd have thought, especially if you get yourself a really good sniping spot.
So everyone up for 10pm again tonight? Mr Feek you willing to give it another go?

I have to say that COD4 was amazing fun again last night. It's funny how I could go from being so good on one map where I think I top scored out of everyone, to absolutely sucking two maps later and being right near the bottom :D It's definitely so much better when we start talking, it makes the other people on the team do the same and it becomes even better then. If it weren't for the achievements I could almost see myself ignoring the single player side and playing multiplayer exclusively.
leowyatt
28-09-2007, 10:19
funny you should say that, just saw a poll on the website and currently people are saying they'd be playing 25% SP and 75% MP  I'd have to say I'll be buying it mainly for the multiplayer.
We always used to talk when playing Gears and it made the team games so much more fun and it's the same for this people just need to communicate.
It's a shame you left when you did as we'd have needed you in the next couple of games, we lost it by 1 kill with 1.04 seconds to go ;D

:O. It's awesome in multiplayer! Very surprised.
I finished Halo 3 last night on normal. 2 nights of gameplay on normal. I hear its a whole different game on heroic as the enemy has sniper rifles instead of short range guns. So you have to think more. One feature I do love is the theater. Its recorded my entire game. Right from the first level. I can go back into each level and watch myself play it. Its very cool. You can then create a screenshot from any moment in your game. Brilliant! I read on another forum that while GoW is technically a better looking game, Halo 3 is the nicer looking game. GoW has huge amounts of detail, but its basically small areas of brown. Halo 3 has huge expansive areas full of colour and visual splendor. Often I've stopped just to look around and take it all in. There were battles where I'd sit and watch it go down. Sure I should have been helping out but wow. Pretty much every vehicle from the Halo series all fighting in huge battles. Often I'd go running head first into battles without a care. I'm the Master Chief. Its what I do :D *splat* Ok, well best outa 3? :D Really enjoyed the game. Charging into battle on the Warthog, Halo theme from the first trailer playing in the background, huge vistas, AI helping out... awesome. Nun nun n'ahhhh, nun nun n'ahhhhh. Shame the OST isn't out till November 20th or so.
I had a quick go on multiplayer. Matchmaking worked well. I won :D The bubble shield is great fun. I swear someone jumped at me, I deployed it and he bounced off. I'm still not sure if I can shoot out of the bubble or not. Its a fantastic game. Can't believe there aren't more people here playing it. But then Halo 1 was what made me buy the Xbox to start with. I bought a 5.1 system just for Halo 2. I'm glad I got HD just in time for Halo 3. I love the little guys in it. "He's here! Run away!"
Creature
29-09-2007, 15:40
You can't shoot out of the bubble sadly.
Heroic is ok, did the first level on it...legendary is a whole new type of gravy. Barely any basic units on the first level, brutes can only really be hurt by plasma weapons, it's nuts. Took me over an hour for the first level...only died 4 times though. I'm not looking forward to doing level 8 :(
Yeah I heard about Legendary. The brutes armour is almost impenetrable. Lvl8 would be a nightmare. It was a challenge on normal and there were times when I nearly gave up.
Creature

Sniper rifle (either) + headshot = dead. Anything else is pretty much usless. I did use a Plasma pistol for the blue armoured ones, only took ~ 10 shots.

Lots more games on my list that I want to get before this :)
Restarted Halo 3 on Heroic. You really do appreciate the weapons and level design more. No grabbing whatever and charging in. It makes you think about what you'll need to get through and makes you think about your route to get through it. At one point I ran out of ammo and was faced with a brute chiefton with a hammer. So I pushed the Arbiter off a ledge to fight him, and he died! I was left to fight this guy alone with no ammo. Lucky I tricked him, got ammo and won. I just spent 1 hr 30 mins doing lvl1 and another hour and 30 mins making screenshots from it :D
A friend of mine's just described Halo 3 as 'greater than the gift of life'.....you Halo fans are weird :p
Although his enthusiasm is rubbing off on me slightly.

What time you thinking of?
I wouldn't say we're any weirder than your average foaming fanboy :D I don't find that many games that really really hook me. I can't really think of any thats made me want to jump back in and replay it on a harder setting. I want to get some skulls. Theres one that makes it so when you headshot a grunt he explodes into confetti and children cheer. The theater is amazing though. You can watch your game from another angle and see what happens. Every single game, sp and mp, is recorded.

Everyone up for a game around 8:30??
Never been a big Halo fan although I did play the first one and I do think Master Chief looks damn cool
But I've just been looking at some screenshots of the online play and must say I'm quite tempted to pick it up.
I really wanted to like Halo but having just finished it I'm rather underwhelmed. To begin with, I found a lot of the graphics very jaggedy. No idea why, I'm playing in HD and most people have been saying it looks great. Bioshock looked ten times better.
Most of the time I had no idea what was going on. Rarely did I get the indicator up showing me where I had to go, and a lot of the directional prompts come from the audio so if you miss them because you were actually playing the game, that's it, you're left to search for the way yourself. Some of the time this was OK because you just have to look for where the enemies are coming from, and usually there's no other way to go, but a lot of the time I was just walking around areas wondering where I was supposed to be. It didn't help that the first time it happens is right at the start of level 2. 'Get to the hangar'. No directions, no prompts, not even a sign pointing to the hangar. Took me a couple of minutes to work out that the tunnel the soldiers were coming out of was the way to the hangar - aren't they supposed to be helping me in some way? After battling to the hangar and clearing it out, a ship drops down and I spent another couple of minutes trying to jump in the back of it because I missed the audio prompt to 'get back to the control room', at which point I made a slightly confused and laborious journey back the way I'd come, plodding down empty corridors. Morale was low at this point.
Gameplay ranged from waiting for enemies to file down corridors or through doorways which was a little bit easy, to being left on your own in the middle of an open area with turrets, tanks and enemies everywhere, which was nigh on impossible. There were a couple of bits where I just turned off the console because I'd run out of swear words. There's just something really annoying about jumping onto a tank, blowing it up with a grenade, sneaking up on a turret to take out the person manning it, killing about twenty aliens single-handedly and then getting run over by a little grunt on a glorified motorbike that you didn't see.
Level 8. It was like Xen from Half-life, but worse. Room upon randomly generated room of mutated morons who just lumber after you as you pile ammo into them. Except for the things that stick on the walls like sentry guns and fire needles at you, and can't be killed unless they're 'open'. Yeah, they're special. And most infuriating of all, battling through to what appears to be a safe area where your armour can recharge, only to be killed by what appears to be a crawling turnip that was spewed out of a pustule on the wall. I don't even know what I was doing there. Rescuing my virtual girlfriend who's trapped on a memory stick or something, after which we overloaded the core, or somesuch nonsense.
There were some equally good bits though - taking down one of those crab tank things for the first time was cool, and sometimes doors just open out onto amazing space-filled vistas with gargantuan ships going by. It really felt like there was other stuff going on that I wasn't even a part of, which is something most games can't do. And the very last part of the last level was just awesome. More of that if you please.
Maybe I'll get more out of it if I play it on a harder difficulty and try to plan it out a bit more, but it was so frustrating I can't see me doing it for a long time yet. Hell, maybe I'll even use those power-ups that you can only carry one of!
P.S. The Flood have to be the most annoying enemies in a game ever. I actually enjoy fighting the other guys; the big dudes with swords, the little Joe Pasquale guys, even the idiots with the shields. The Flood are just fetid sacks of mucus awaiting oblivion by your eager hand. I pity them as much as I hate them. The ****s.
Oooh audio descriptions for where to go is a bit of a pet hate for me. It's extremely irritating as sometimes I need to have the volume quieter so it's bloody annoying to miss out where to go for a pretty minor reason.
I really wanted to like Halo but having just finished it I'm rather underwhelmed. To begin with, I found a lot of the graphics very jaggedy. No idea why, I'm playing in HD and most people have been saying it looks great. Bioshock looked ten times better.
Yeah Bioshock does look stunning, but at no point did I think Halo 3 looked bad. Yes I could see jaggies but I got caught up in the gameplay so stopped seeing them. Its also technically not true 720p but 640p I hear. Again, not something that bothers me. The scenes like in the trailer overlooking the Forerunner stuff are stunning as are the scenes later on.
Audio issue...
I had a few issues with being unable to hear what they said due to overbearing music. Only had a couple of times when I didn't know where to go but an arrow does appear directing you. The only time I was lost was lvl8 but I won't drop any spoilers on that.
Gameplay ranged...
Were you playing it on normal or heroic?
Level 8.
Spoilers! Have you played 1 + 2? Its a trilogy and makes more sense when you know the story. I don't really want to give too much away about the characters in the game. I don't think you'll get a lot out of Halo 3 without having played the first two. It is the end of the story, and it does have a story to it. Its like saying the Matrix trilogy is rubbish when you start at 3. I once saw an interview with a guy from Bungie. They said all you need is 30 seconds of fun to make a game. Halo has been continuously full of 30 second moments of fun. It is basically a refined Halo 2. If you didn't like that, chances are you won't like 3. I wouldn't advise playing 3 unless you've played 2. Eurogamers review is very good (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=83948). The do point out its not Bioshock, or as technically detailed as GoW. Halo 3 is run, shoot, kill, drive, run over, and so on. Its a perfectly made FPS on a cinematic scale. Its gaming marmite. It hits a perfect note with me however not so with others. Its not a badly made game by any means. According to Game Rankings its just below BioShock by 0.8%. The 2nd highest rated game on the 360. Of course if you don't like run, shoot, kill, its not great. Just as I don't like Fifa. Run, kick, score :)
*hopes it doesn't sound like a fanboy* :D Yes I do have a Halo 3 ringtone I made, and my Mac is called Cortana but ... ok /puts on fanboy hat ;)
Don't worry, it's not quite as bad as I made out, I just like to rant! (http://www.boat-drinks.co.uk/showthread.php?t=4088) I always start games on the normal difficulty first because you never know how ludicrously difficult or easy they've made the other options. I like to think that the middle ground is how the developers intended the game to be played and the other options give you more or less of a challenge depending on how hardcore you are.
I played the first one all the way through and thought it was pretty good. Without trying to give any more away from this one, I especially liked the end part of the first one too.
What I do like is the theatre part where you can watch your entire game back. Ever since you were able to do the same for Duke Nukem 3D multiplayer I've been going on about how it would be great to watch your entire single player game back, especially for games like Half-life. This isn't quite how I imagined it as it also includes the bits where you die and have to replay it, whereas my vision involved only the single true path where you didn't die. Still, I very much enjoyed rewatching one level last night, including the very bit I mentioned above where I cleared all the enemies then got run over by some eejit on a motorbike. Also, taking a flying leap off a cliff in a Warthog full of soldiers was a highlight!
And the Matrix trilogy is rubbish! :D

Well, there goes the COD4 Beta. I have to say I enjoyed that more than I enjoy most games I pay for, and it's only a slice of what we'll get at the start of November. I got to level 25 in the end and unlocked the G3, which is nice and powerful, but it's strange getting used to single shot rather than fully automatic like the M4 or AK. I actually started to really like the AK-47 in the end. The normal sight is better than most, so I could have the grenade launcher attachment, which I was getting quite good at by the end of the game. I do think though that my usual classes will be the M16A4 for ourdoor maps, and the MP5 for the indoor maps :)

I know what you mean about the G3 I thought I'd try and it liked it but my accuracy was pants :( It's good for 1 shot kills though.
It's funny you should say that about the AK47 because that was my favourite outdoor weapon towards the end and I used it all the time. I never thought of the grenade launcher and did get killed quite a few times with them  but I needed the sight as my aim is rather pants ;D
The MP5 is deadly in the vacant map 2-3 hit in the chest and down they go ;D For my final class I'm thinking MP5, silencer, stun grenades, deadly silence & deep impact ;)
I really really enjoyed it too, I'm definitely going to buy it when it's released. Can't wait to see the new maps that will be released when we get the full game and what the other weapons are.

That sounds good, it'd be ideal for quiet kills on the indoor maps, you could possibly run through killing several people and never get spotted.
Did you say you saw screens which showed the rest of the perks? Any links?

My thoughts exactly, especially with the silencer, no one would see you on the radar ;) I tend to use that to work out where people are to mow down ;D

Ditto. I wanted to get through the story without being fustrated with the game first. Now I have I'm playing it on Heroic and finding it is more challenging but still just as fun.
What I do like is the theatre part where you can watch your entire game back.
I heard that the theatre mode is limited to 1.5x fast foward because its recalculating everything and thats as fast as they could calculate things. Its why you can't go back because they can't reverse the Ai. Which makes it a bit annoying because you can spend 30 minutes fast forwarding then miss a bit to screenshot. Still, brilliant idea for MP games. You can track the winner and see how he played it. I used to do it a lot in Q3 because you can learn so much about tactics.
And the Matrix trilogy is rubbish! :D

Well there's the Commander bit (can't remember the proper name) that won't unlock until level 55, so that'll take a fair few weeks before we even get close to seeing what's in there.

A few weeks indeed, though I think I ended up playing for around 12 hours and got to level 25 so am quite happy with that. I suppose there is nothing to stop them adding more stuff for the MP as they go along, like new weapons & perks, etc.

I only found one skull, but then I wasn't really looking out for any. Can you actually do anything with them? I picked it up then threw it off a balcony!
Info on the skulls (http://www.halo3planet.com/halo-3-skull-locations/). Basically most of them change the dynamics of the game. Enemies will always chase you. If you loose your shield you have to melee to get it back. If you die you restart the entire level and so on. Theres fun ones where by grunts explode into confetti with children laughing if you headshot them and explosions are bigger. If you get them all you get Hayabusa amour from Ninja Gaiden.

I know that feeling. Bioshock did it for me most recently, I've not really touched a game hugely since then.
I'm trading a few games in soon, Crackdown, Tomb Raider, Shadowrun and Just Cause. I just don't play them so it seems daft keeping them, I can always rent them or buy them cheap further down the line :)

LOL, as in what best bang for buck upgrades or cars to get. ;D
There really is no real answer to that one, as it's all down to personal preference. Do you prefer front, rear or all wheel drive cars? Do you prefer to have something vastly superior to everything else, or do you like having an equally powered car and winning through skill? There really is so many ways to approach each set of races that it's near impossible to give out proper hints as to what cars and upgrades to buy.
I will say though, that in the start it's better to upgrade your car just enough to win. There's no point spending huge amounts of money on upgrades as you'll win so many cars throughout your career it's unlikely you'll stick with one for a huge set of races (unless like me you have one particular car you love, but you'll know what to do when you get that anyway).
Ah, a bit like the original Gran Turismo where I basically use a handful of cars that I like and ignore the rest.

Ah, a bit like the original Gran Turismo where I basically use a handful of cars that I like and ignore the rest.
The game is very like Gran Turismo (but better IMO), but because of the number of restrictions set in place for races you'll need to use more than a handful if you want to win every race series, as often you need a very specific car to be eligible to enter a series. I like that as it makes you use cars you might not bother with otherwise, and you may find a lovely new car to drive.

The spoilt thing struck me last night, tried to get into Shadow Run. Played 3 training missions and have stuck it back in the envelope to go back. I mean yeah it's a good idea with the magic and stuff but it was just another shooter. Call of Juarez is currently on the way and should be a good laugh.

I got Madden 08 through the post last night, and ended up with over 700 points from 2 matches. The achievements are so much better than Madden 07, they take more skill but you can easily whore them by adjusting everything in your favour. I love good US Football games anyway so it's a good rental so far.
DiRT is proving to be a pain though. It's reminding me why I've always preferred street/track racing as the random bumps and jumps you get in rallying means that you can end up flying off and totalling your car no matter how well you drive. It's a little frustrating at times, but I'm going to perservere and get as many points from it as I can. Certainly don't think it's going to be a 1000 point title though, it will take more effort than I'll be willing to put in.
I really want Madden 08 :D For both points and as I enjoyed 07.
I've got CSI on the way from swapgame, it was initially for easy points again (can't let Davey have too big a lead ;)) but I think it might be quite good fun too :D
I've played all the other CSI games, it's shelf life is very very short, but it is fun at the time. I'll be renting it from Blockbuster if they stock it :) Shame about te achievements though, they could have had some fun with them, but instead they lamed out and went for the cheap port option.

Final Oblivion expansion free (http://www.1pstart.com/final-oblivion-download-coming-oct-15th-will-be-free-for-one-week/) for the first week. Available to download from October 15th
Thanks to my birthday, I've managed to acquire £90 of spending money as well as plan to trade in Shadowrun, Just Cause, Crackdown and Tomb Raider.
I'm not sure if I want to spend it all on games because even for me, that's a bit OTT :p
However, what would people recommend?
Couple of things: I'm putting back £20 towards Eternal Sonata which comes out on my payday, and I don't really have that much of an interest in Halo 3 or The Orange Box tbh......well I do but I don't want to pay full price for them. I'm not sure about PGR4 either.

Keep hold of the money till next month then. There's more than enough coming out in November that you may wish you kept some monies aside for it :)
The problem there is I know it'll end up going towards paying off a bill or my car insurance :(
I'll end up guilting myself into sticking it towards a bill.

secret it somewhere then ;)
It's a bit hard to hide money from your own guilty conscience :p And I really am crap (or good depending on your point of view) at ending up spending birthday money on bills
Mind you, I have managed to think of 2 games I've been meaning to get at some point :D Rainbow Six:Vegas and The Darkness.
I'm quite happy to stockpile games atm, they'll last me till Christmas then :D

If you played COD4 a fair bit, then don't bother with Rainbox 6. It just felt really bad after spending a fair amount of time with COD.
I still recommend Skate. It's a lot harder than Tony Hawk because it takes proper skill to do even the simplest of tricks, but with a bit of practise you can do some great stuff. Take a look at these two I made earlier :)

You need to click on the stars on the left hand side next to the video. I don't know if you need an account though. Don't bother voting if you need an account, far too much hassle for that :)

No need at the moment, the council's gaming filter either isn't working or has been switched off, as I've got no problems accessing any gaming website. It makes the day go so much faster :D

:party2: Luckily I have Monday off work so will be getting this as soon as I get home from Pickering :D just need Shivering Isles for all the content I want.
Was looking on Play earlier and noticed Splinter Cell: Conviction for delivery next month, checked gameplay and it's December. Any idea when it's out?
Davey_Pitch
12-10-2007, 09:49
Conviction is a 2008 release as far as I know. Gameplay have got Mercenaries 2 down as a November release when it's not out till next year as well (booooo, I really wany Mercs 2 as well).

Davey - did you manage to watch the walkthrough video? I can't seem to download it but it seems to stream ok

Well managed to watch the stream in the end (thanks Davey ;)) and the game looks ace!!! Is it November yet??? ;D
Thanks to a delayed card in the post, I now have £115 to spend from my birthday
So er, more decisions as now I'm starting to wonder if I should use it for more sensible purchases ;D
Sensible would be educational games. Like PGR4 that teaches you how to street race. Assassins Creed which teaches you how to assassinate people. Mass Effect, that er... teaches you to be a scifi action hero?
leowyatt

Teaches you how to fight alien scum ;D

Sounds like it'd be handy if you had an awkward ex :D

You should already have the diploma for that from the Duke Nukem school of kicking ass and chewing bubble gum :D
Heh, my Mum is as bad as me.
Just talking about going shopping tomorrow as she's coming with me, and she went 'How much do wiis cost now? You must be pretty near to being able to afford one. How much extra would you need?'
Noooooo Mum don't put ideas into my head ;D

you won't be able to sit down for a week ;D
That was a fun morning :D
I have returned with Stranglehold Collector's Edition (Another shiny metal tin to add to the collection), Flatout: Ultimate Carnage and The Darkness :D Got the last 2 as 2 for £40 which wasn't bad.
Also picked up Ghostbusters 1+2 on DVD for £7
And I still have money left
And it seems The Darkness won't work once I try to start a new game.
Back to Gamestation I go :/
It was YMFs birthday on Friday and he asked me today if I could take him to PC World to buy Halo 3.
I refused, and set up a set of sniper bids on eBay and picked it up for £30.64 (http://tinyurl.com/2r37jn) including postage so he's quite happy with that.

November may just be the single best month in gaming history......
9th - Call of Duty 4, Smackdown vs Raw 2008
16th - Assassin's Creed
23rd - Mass Effect, Guitar Hero 3, Need for Speed: Prostreet, Kane and Lynch: Dead Men
30th - Army of Two
And they're just the ones I want. I think my wallet has ran away and is whimpering in a corner somewhere.
Kane and Lynch could be a real gem you know. Not a great deal of PR around it but it looks ace.

Excellent choices there, I think COD4 will be a purchase, the rest I'll probably just rent through either SG (when Mr Feek finally joins :p) and LF :) That reminds me I need to put bioshock back.
4 games I definitely want and not sure about the others but I probably want them too ;D
Why did Mass Effect have to come out on that weekend though :( Even if that is good for you Davey :p

Yeah, especially the co-op side of it, which is becoming so much more popular lately (Army of Two was built as co-op from day one). K&L looks like it has some real promise.
Shame it isn't online co-op really.
[edit]K&L that is.

I might have to "be sick" for a couple of days if I end up with enough birthday money to get several of the games I want on the Sunday after my birthday. It would be great to be able to go to town and come back with 3+ games :D

It's the only game this year I can honestly see myself buying to be honest, the others are ones I'd play through but not necessarily keep. AC & ME are 2 I think I'd play through then not play again whereas COD4 I see myself playing again and again and again :D

I'm torn really. GH3 and Mass Effect are the two I really want, but with the move coming up I just can't spend the money on anything atm.
Nay mind. Tbh I want the house more than the games anyway ;D
Not got anything to trade in Daz?

would a rental be any good like swapgame Daz?

Possibly, but it wouldn't be much.

I'm not down with renting really, my playing doesn't suit it tbh. I nurse a game for a long time (something like Mass Effect could have me for months, and GH3? Well, I'm still playing GH2 now. 5*'d 3 more songs on hard last night ;D), and paying monthly for the privilege would be a waste.
Besides, the market's so competitive, if you can wait even a month you can get top 10 games from somewhere on the web for ~£30. I'll have plenty to get on with in the mean time :)

Cool, it'll give me a chance to give you something to aim for when you finally get GH3 :p
