Sooooo who got totally trashed after work (on what, my second shift :p) on Saturday because of line clearing? Annnnd probably made a complete tit of himself that night, annnnnd now doesnt really want to face having to go back into work...
Yeah that might be me, i'm actually debating as to whether i might still have this job at all. I just hope to god i'm blowing it all out of proportion in my head, because i generally like to over think things.
Great first impression i must say, i have very little/no memory after 8/9am i think... And i still feel hungover now after sleeping all day yesterday.
Once again, let me reiterate i am a ****ing tit, and i hate that fact! :(
Live and learn Alex, live and learn :D
You seem to like / admire bananas and that will take you far in life. :D
They were throwing tonnes of booze at you so I have a sneaking suspicion they expected you to be drunk ;) I'd see this not as 'you making a breast of yourself' but your 'initiation'!

Barfmit[/b];275464']No memory after 8/9am?!
Well we didn't start till about 4am after we'd cleared everything up...
Live and learn Alex, live and learn :D
I don't though :(

Banana's, long story ;) and yeah it was an initiation, but my ego was the problem (don't i know it) and i had loads to much to drink when i could have quite easily said no... So in a big way its probably more my fault. I'm just severely hoping i didn't chunder everywhere as well... Came home covered in mud apparently, so i obviously tried and failed to walk across the park *shrugs*
Its a black hole event.
In my head i can account for 2 pitchers of snakebite, one pitcher of leftover mix with wine and alcopops etc (this is basically my last memory)... 6 Jagerbombs and the actual initiation drink which involved some form of curdled baileys. Thats what i can remember, and i think i probably should have went the hospital.

;D Sounds to me like you will be remembering snippets of a potentially amazing night over the next few days! ;D
I wouldn't worry about it old bean - nothing you can do in the meantime so I certainly wouldn't worry about it.
You seem really concerned so perhaps prepare a jovial apology with a smile if anyone comes up with anything racey next time you're in work :)
I imagine the worst you could have done wouldn't have offended the staff who deal with heavily drunken punters every night ;)

I do not understand why people are telling me this is good! You don't understand, it sounds funny but it was a massive disaster!
I have a strong feeling i might have offended (quite badly) one of the managers too, but i'm really not sure why. I didn't get home till 11am (according to my flatmates girlfriend since she saw me come in) so i'm assuming i passed out somewhere along the walk home i guess? I just do not know, nor really want to know, i wish it had never happened...
In all honesty i actually hope i still have a job, i still have to go back and collect my coat too, meh :(
That's why i am reluctant to get drunk even at the Christmas party, you never know !

Didn't even know you'd gotten the job, so congratulations for that :p.

And fired after the second shift - it could be short lived... :p

Most of us have done something stupid at some point when drunk, try not to worry too much about it. There's a good chance that the other staff found it funny but if nothing else you've probably learned a lesson from this - take whatever positives you can from it, at least you haven't ended up with a permanant injury or anything like that.

Everybody makes mistakes mate & Everybody is Allowed to make mistakes, It is how you handle yourself Afterwards that counts ;)
You've had a chat with yourself so now get yourself together Properly & go & get your coat & dish out some apologys :)
Whats this new job mister Alex? I'm guessing its a barman job? You must try the wares, otherwise how can you empathise with other drunken revellers on the customer side of the bar? Experience and initiation. fret not (or as little as possible!)

Working at Rev's, which is very very cool, but yeah theres testing wares and then being a tit, i was so much the latter. I still don't feel 100% today, this is ridiculous!
Shift 3 technically starts in about 5 hours and is just training if they're still willing to train me... :p :(
I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm sure that if others were drinking too will probably not remember some of the things either. Work dos are always dodgy to a certain extent especially if you don't know the people that well. I ended up giving the Kiwi temp a foot rub at mine, yet she wanted to be subtle about it so passed her feet (still attached to her body I might add) under the table - no that didn't look too obvious! :p
Needless to say I got teased about it because i also gave her a piggy back to the hotel.... I'm still being called donkey to this day - obviously I tell them it's for other reasons ;)
You just have to take the rough with the smooth, sometimes you make a mistake and sometimes you just have fun - next time know your limits (Alcohol - know your limits ;)) but you've got to be able to let your hair down (at least you have some) and have fun. You work in a bar I'm sure they've seen worse.
Let us know how it goes! :)

I think it's something to do with him being a massive cock though I may have misheard slightly :D
It was actually about being a jackass... leave my cock alone, :(

Ok, so i still have a job, good start. Called a tit pretty much, told to get on with life etc... One of the managers isn't seeing eye to eye with me, but shes definitely the type to hold grudges. Soooo i'll just play it nice a easy over the coming months i suspect! :tak:
Weight off my shoulders! I really couldn't afford to lose this job right now, since i've also just put a deposit down on a holiday with the lads in the summer...

I didn't think about this before but as your employer there is probably quite a bit of liability against them as they supplied you with excess amounts of alcohol on company premises. The fact that it's a bar/club shouldn't make any difference.
Could have been something to look into if they had given you the chop.

Nah if they had given me the chop i would have said fair enough, no point arguing my way back into an awkward work situation after 2 shifts. Only for them to find a real reason to fire me the next week whilst i'm still on probation ;)
You should never have taken that banana to work in the first place Alex.
