Was just wondering if any of the coding gurus on here had any idea on how to create protected media content?

Looking to sort out some audio content which would need to be protected to stop it from being passed around willy nilly (yes it's going to be stuff being sold).

I was looking at possibly running it through iTunes and letting them handle everything, but due to the nature of the media involved it's unlikely something which they'll have any interest in so am likely to have to do it myself.

Any advice/pointers would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks

You can ask Windows Media Player to DRM stuff you rip, but I think that then only works on the PC you ripped it on, which probably isn't much use either.

Correct Mark :)

If you want to DRM stuff up for distribution over the Web iTunes is probably your best bet, if they do it anyway. The trouble with trying to run your own is that you need to server(s) always available to phone home to and check all is well.

Tbh, I wouldn't even consider it. As a techie type you know how easy it is to get around anyway - you're just punishing the people who will legitimately spend their money.
