This is the Blue Lagoon, a lake heated by geothermal waters, the waters are used first in a power station and then pumped into the lake, these pictures haven't been altered (apart from the exposure) it really is that colour!

Arty shot in a local coffee shop Homjalind means Homeland and is also the title of a Sigur Ros track, Sigur Ros were one of my inspirations for visiting Iceland and we spent a lot of time listening to their music on our excursions :)

I strongly recomend it, I found the people to be very friendly and the country is beautiful, jam packed with natural beauty and facinating history. The food is very good quality and the nightlife is good too.

Its not the most affordable place to go although it is a lot better than it was and I don't regret spending the money we did as it was so enjoyable. We had snow too which made it quite magical at times, I have to say I was sorry to leave and would have liked to have had more time to explore :(

The subject is top drawer, unfortunately the lighting is crap due to cloud cover. I also think that a lot of the pictures you've taken have a lot going on in them.

Other than that, those are unique photos.

Its true the lighting was a consistant problem and I was fighting heavy cloud cover and the fact the sun never gets very high in the sky even when it is up there (about 6 hours a day at this time of year) drizzle and sleet. I also agree they are busy photos, if anything they are more holiday snaps than pictures, composition is something I need to look at as my photography progresses :)

If I had to pick a few I was actually pleased with it would be these, but we have a record of our holiday which is the main thing for us
