Last wednesday I thought I'd start eating healthy and see if I can notice a difference in myself.
What a load of rubbish.
A week later a finish work and am walking towards the train station. All of a sudden - BLEEUUURGGHHHHH... all over the platform. Not amused!!
Been like it the last few days but felt well enough to work today (note: only had 2 small meals since wednesday).
Finished work and my stomach was in agonising pain, so, I thought F it and went to Burger King.
I actually feel perfectly fine now ;D

Well good luck. I'm joining you in becoming healthy and lose weight etc. But tbh, you may as well just stay fit and thin. If you can eat unhealthy and still remain fine, then do it for as long as possible!

Why would you want to remain unhealthy for as long as possible? I know it is the easy option but that won't be good for your body!! lol
Surely you want to try and get healthy, but slim and not risk having any problems now or in the future.
I am trying to eat healthily and lose some weight :) I have already noticed a difference in how I feel after eating healthily for 2 weeks :)
Sounds like you may of had a bit of a poorly tum... though saying that if it's sudden change in diet, it's a lot for your body to take on and it will have reactions such as headaches, nausea, cravings etc because you have changed what it's used to! It's like people giving up fags... they become moody, irrational, feel sick and horrible. In the long run it's better for them, it's that initial week or two they need to get past to adjust.
Instead of diving in head first and going mad, make some little changes to begin with. Say... cut out crisps one week. Then cut out chocolate/cake/biscuits the next and so on. That way your body won't react in such an adverse manner.

LOL! This is a bit of a crazy out look don't you think :p Even if you're staying thin whilst eating rubbish, your innards are going to be getting crud and running themselves down. Health wise, you may be "fine" now, but as time goes on, people who are eating pooply continuously will be offering up their health in the long term (diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure etc etc).
I haven't had the best eating record in history and due to not eating properly at the beginning of last year (not eating rubbish... just not eating well) I ended up having countless problems towards the end of the year which most probably had something to do with my diet initially (or it didn't help things anyway).
It'll only come back and bite you in the bum!
Trust me... ;)

No you haven't don't talk stupid. The only difference you might have is a change in state of mind. You might feel better just because you are happy you are actually sticking to something.
Tinks I'm not suprised you're feeling better already.
Despite Sandeep's obvious scepticism/ignorance, the short term effects of a diet can be very much noticed in a suprisingly short period; Notably with detox, selective fasting and diet cleansing.

Intriguing. I'd have thought Tinkerbell was much better placed to comment on how she feels than you were but perhaps not.
Blighter, it might or might not be down to eating more healthily that you were feeling ill but as Pheebs says introducing changes gradually is probably a better solution to give yourself time to adapt and make it more likely that you'll be able to stick to it.

LOL!
Yeh Tink! No you haven't! What you talking about! I mean, come on lady, you clearly have no idea how YOU feel. Only other people are able to tell you that!
Well DUH!
;D
A while ago, in two weeks I lost 6lbs from healthy eating and exercising. That's a lot of weight! I felt a sooooo much better, food wise I didn't feel like I needed to eat all the time and yeh, I had a happy bounce in my step :)
I don't know why I'm saying this. You'll probably tell me I didn't feel better and the spring in my step was from walking on grass and not the pavement.
:p
Some people make me laugh :D Reminds me of a time when a chap we knew was talking to us and Picky said "I had horse riding lessons when I was younger" and this guy remarked back "What?! No you didn't!!" (he was quite serious!)
lol!
Actually I didn't have horse riding lessons Pheebs - you have been mistaken. I was told I had never riden a horse before - when I had.. bizzare!
Anyway, I'm now going to consider a little more what I put in my mouth... I'm becomming too much of a gluten...

Am I the only one who feels all depressed while on a diet? :) All that food I could be enjoying, all that beer going flat in my fridge.
The one ray of light are Weight Watchers desserts. Mmm, that's good eating.

I never denied she felt good. I was just saying the chance of it being due to the actual diet quite is quite low. It is more likely a mental thing.
Why is that Mr Nutrition expert? Are you talking with any actual experience? Your first post in this thread suggest you know bugger all about nutrition and being healthy :)
If you think that eating crap food but still staying thin makes you healthy then you need to start thinking about what's going on inside your body.

Never said that. I said if blighter is staying fit and thin, then he may as well eat what he wants.

That to me sounds like you're saying you can eat unhealthily and remain fine. Fine on the outside maybe. And whilst you've got youth on your side, the bad things happening inside don't show :)
But eventually it will all stack up against you. To be fair, when I was younger I used to eat some pretty crap food on a fairly regular basis. Looking back on it now, I wish my attitude to food back then was what it is now.

Crap? ;D
Youth is on your side mate, simple as that. It doesn't last forever, but it doesn't mean you're healthy by any means jsut because you're not fat. A poor diet will still affect your body and mind, just not as compounded as it would for somebody in their 40s.

LOL! Of course I have noticed a difference! And it isn't because my attitude to food as improved, I have more energy, I don't have as many bad tummy's or headaches. I lost 4lbs in my first week, so it has affected me in a good way.
lol at everyone else's comments!

Oooh I knew it was something like that! My bad! :)

Picky last night was a little "Humph" because he wanted to eat lots of food but wasn't hungry so was trying to stop himself ;D I attempted to talk to him about wedding cakes and his immediate response prior to me finishing the sentence:
"DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT CAKE!!!"
;D

Hahah! ;D I would have been the same to be honest!
My stomach was perfectly content; my taste buds, however, were crying out for satisfaction- Chocolate, biscuits, more cous cous, more chicken. I think I seriously need to recondition my eating habits. :(
Recently I have made a habit of gorging myself. I can eat a shed load, but I need to remind myself that I don't NEED to EVERY meal.
Thin people can have just as high cholesterol as fatter people. Thin does not necessarily equal healthy.
I've started to eat "healthier"
Yogurt and Fruit for breakfast - I am starving by 10:30, and it creates havoc in my stomach some days.
Small Lunch, sandwich and water (or low calories drink) - I can eat a horse by the time i get home at 7.
Dinner - I am so hungry by now i end up eating crisps when waiting for the food to be cooked.

Getting hungry by 10.30 is good... it means your metabolism is working ;)

To be honest Mondo, I am not suprised you are hungry! Eating healthily doesn't mean you have to starve yourself.
For breakest have a cereal: Weetabix (skimmed milk, sweentener) and add fruit for added taste. You could do the same with other low fat cereal's.
Snacks: Have fruit available to snack on when you get abit peckish in between meals.
Lunch: Sandwich/Pasta/Jacket Potato with tuna with a yogurt, fruit and water/low calorie drink.
Dinner: Good healthy meal for dinner.
Won't feel hungry if you eat healthily :)

I don't have breakfast as i don't wake up in time. For lunch i usually have between 2 and 3 sandwiches(so 4 or 6 slices of bread not 2 or 3) (trying to keep it to 2 now) Then dinner i normally have a 3 part thingy. So for example Pie chips sweetcorn, or chicken nuggats roast parsnips peas etc but genrally a meaty thing, potatoey or pasta etc thing, vegetable thing. Then i like to have that with a glass of milk frappé thingy. And suprisingly i am quite content atm. I have to really fight off the urge of food sometimes though. It's not that i am hungry as such, it's just i think about a type of food i have and i just can't stop thinking about it's flavours and textures and i just want it. If i can't stop my self thinking about it my will power stands no chance. :(
