University Challenge... it was really good last week and had me in hysterics by the end! Radio 1 just reminded me of it and although I can't find a good comparison link I thought I would post this one anyhoo!

The voice over dude was SO excited! He started off at the beginning saying "Corpus Christi Trimble" in a calm, normal way but by this clip he was just getting waaaaaaaaay excited ;D Seriously, Picky and I were creased up!

Reminds me of Arnie: DETECTIVE JOHN KIMBLE! ;D

She is a genius though! A smug one but a sheer genius!

I don't think she's a genius - just somebody that can seemingly absorb facts and regurgitate them seemingly at will.

Manchester have been given the title because CC fielded an ineligible team.

They say they were entirely open about all their attendance dates, which if true is a bit gay because that would be the BBCs fault for not checking properly...

Yeah - a tad harsh in my opinion but I guess rules are rules - and the bbc certainly can't be seen to be wavering at all now! :p

One of the members of the winning team had already graduated and started a job when the final was filmed. He was a member of the university college when they entered the competition, and for most of the series I am led to believe but that's not cutting it with the rulebook.


Listening to the name caller is the reason why I ever watch that show for any length of time!- I find paxman quite obnoxious and the questions are often way beyond my recognition but the excitement in that name callers voice was hillarious!! :D

For a lass of the calibre of Gail Trimble, they should make exceptions to the rules.

Well they were a legitimate team when they started the competition. But because the filming caries over an academic year by the time the final came around he was no longer a student.
