I just spent 4.5 hours washing, polishing and sealing her so you lot can bloody suffer and look at her for 5 minutes, yes I know its boring and I'm sure I'll get bored of posting pics of her soon.

:(

I had to wash her to get a decent level of protection on as she wasn't properly polished prior to delivery :)

Did you solve the problem with the dirty wheels?

Looks like a common issue as the brakes bed in you get a lot of dust. A good coat of polish makes the easy to clean and I bought some brake dust cleaner and a good brush :)

Looks stunning. Do you want to come wash and polish my car for me? I bought some stuff to give it a good clean 2 weeks ago and am "yet to get round to it"!

My Bf's car is dreadful for getting the wheels dirty, in one trip out the wheels will have a small layer of browny/rusty colour stuff on them!!

Lovely Car and very well cleaned!! :D

What sort of stuff did you buy?

I'm a bit lazy when it comes to such things but I did put in quite a lot of effort, once you get a good coat of polish on it makes subsiquent cleans much easier :)

I've become very lazy... I just give the car to the local valets now... I just cba to clean it anymore - I give it a half hearted clean from time to time, but I'd rather pay a few bucks to get someone to get all mucky.... :embarassed: I still clean my bike though ;)

It does look really clean - surprised it's needed on already! :D

As for brake dust, as you know performance brakes do tend to deposit more... it's one of those things. Green stuff pads are even worse for it! But for the sake of decent brakes it's worth it!

That does look very tidy. I must say.

Anyone else see "Norks" not "Works" in Matt's sig? I just see the "orks" bit and think "norks!". Fun looking car though. Norks would be a great optional extra :D

After enjoying the ride in Matt's MINI, I now seem to have an obsession with them. Spotted three in the office carpark yesterday. Didn't pay close enough attention to work out which versions though (someone might have thought I was about to make off with one).

Well MB let me go unleashed on his lovely toy. And boy is it awesome! The steering has so much feel, the car feels so well planted. It does suffer a bit of torque steer (understandable with that much power) but it is SO much more competent than the other Mini Cooper I have driven (not the S). The sound is awesome - it is a completely different type of drive to mine, the power delivery is really rather intoxicating and the clutch and gear box are built for big strong men. I don't know how girly men cope with this version of the car!

It's effortless in every gear to get going, you feel you can short shift without sacrificing any acceleration. However it's intoxicating listening to that whine get louder and you just don't want it to stop. I was completely shocked to find out it was only a 1.6 - it felt like a 2.5l V6. It's so torquey from low down in the rev range.

The other Cooper S I was in (standard one) was "ok" as a passenger anyway, the works version really is a cut above. Fantastic.
