This thread will probably now make you realise why I was googling donkeys yester and thus stumbled upon that hilarious line of jokes :D

Basically, the Donkey Sanctuary down here are interested to see some AKOF designs for potential cards at Donkey World/on webby. Currently they have what you'd call bog standard pretty Donkey cards (oil painted jobbies, nice photo's and the odd few silly photo ones).

They saw my designs on line (directed there by my printer... legend!) and yeh. I'm now trying to conjure up donkey designs all round.

So far:

Any ideas?! There *must* be something cheesey I can do including "eeyore" or Buckaroo! Bare in mind they've kind of got to be nice about donkeys as it's for the sanctuary so things like "I like you... even though you're a donkey" might not work :p

Oh oh and kind of funny thing looking up donkeys. I stumbled across the phrase "Donkey Punch" and thought "Oooh.. wonder what that's about... I'm sure I could do a good drawing of that..."

....

and then I found a definition of it :(

Whoopsy! Hehehehe ;D

Donkey

Can you do one where Eeeoorr (Winnie the Pooh) gets a bird?

Desmo

Why don't you have one that says "Donkey rides, everyone loves it"

...with a pic of a mass donkey and human orgy underneath.

I'd definitely buy Desmo's one.
Buying one at a Donkeys Sanctuary would be like entering any good porn shop... the good stuff is out the back.

Lol,

Erm, two people with a donkey. "I thought you were buying a stallion?"

Something like "Credit crunch hits the grand national" ... with a pic of the jokey's all riding donkeys

" Pin the tail on the what?! Get away from me! "

I like those two :D

Extending the pin the tail on the donkey slighty, you could have a little innocent kid blindfolded, (hang on), with a rather angry donkey standing right over it menacingly.

How about a donkey dressed up as Dick Turpin with the title....

..... Ass Bandit.

NokkonWud
12-03-2009, 17:34
Bah, if it was America you could do a characture of Gordon Ramsey yelling "You donkey!" (he always does this due to US TV laws and not being able to swear as much, and the Donkey giving a "yeah, and..." face with his arms in expression.

If you could put mirrors on the inside of the card...On the outside, "What's the difference between a donkey and an ass?"
On the inside, a picture of a donkey, and a mirror (appropriately labelled).

Or, "I hope mule have a good birthday."

Yeah, there's a reason I don't write cards.

Muban

A donkey with a knights helmet and a lance.... Donkeyote de La Mancha! ;D

I think there's a reason I don't write cards either ;)

LOL! I think some of these suggestions might be safe only on the top shelf. ;D

PS - word of warning - Eeyore is licensed, Buckaroo probably is too. Caution advised. :)

Probably wasn't clear enough but I was working on the sound a donkey makes (ee-yor) as opposed to the actual cartoon character :D THank you though Mark!

:D

I spoke to the lady this morning and she proper loves them. She's not the person who gives it the 100% go ahead though and is passing it on to the relevant people! She said when looking at them "Some of them are PERFECT! They hit the spot brilliantly! Others I know they won't like so much as they're quite conservative, but the others, BRILLIANT! Love them!"

She really was very excitable!! But yeh... the Does my ASS look big like this et al are a little bit too risqué apparently! Erk! ;D

Smart Ass is a great one.

Is it me, or are the drawings getting better? Not that I'm saying they used to be crap, I just mean, they look more, I dunno, shaded/detailed etc? They look really professional, very simple, but very effective. :)

The expression on the second donkey is perfect :) In fact I'm actually quite worried he might be in love with me.

As in my A Kettle of Fish range? Or the Donkeys?

If AKOF then considering they started like this:

to:

http://pheebeh.googlepages.com/psp.png

to:

http://pheebeh.googlepages.com/Bots.png

to the likes of:

and

and

I'm more than happy to admit they've improved vastly ;D

Aww gnoes!

Spoke to the DOnkey people and apparently the drawings aren't... conservative enough for their tastes!

Boo to them!

I still like em. Will slip them in at the end of my catalogue!

I'm going to have a couple of non stickmenny ones in there anyway with the christmas stuff and also this one I just did:

http://pheebeh.googlepages.com/GEN050-Crumbs.png

I lolled so much drawing that ;D Inspiration came from a dry pitta bread I made talk to me and he told me he was feeling crumby today ;D

Hahahahahahaa

Hmmm, I thought they were good modern facing cards. Obviously they want to keep themselves old fashioned. I wonder if their clientèle are of a certain age where it is acceptable to send an oil painting type card to each other on one's birthday.

edit:- I actually want the first donkey card, I have someone in mind for that one
