Who is having steak today, and how are you planning on serving it?

Nope having chicken instead. But I'd serve mine medium :)

Nah me neither, Medium-rare though possibly griller rather than pan fried which is controversial in itself. With a peppercorn or bourbon sauce depending on how sweet i'm feeling. Home thick cut wedges par boiled and oven baked once a little ruffled up with sliced onion and crushed garlic sprinkled lightly with mixed herbs, salt and pepper. With some beefy veg on the side. Nom.

On my plate.

Pan fried medium-rare with a little bit of herby stuff rubbed into it, served with ludicrously thick chips. Mmm. Still, I'm on a diet so I'd better limit myself to just a couple of steaks tonight.
I had a steak fried in JD + coke in Cyprus once. It was surprisingly nice but I've never been able to replicate the taste.

Couldn't get any nice juicy rump today so we made do witha frying steak sandwich.

BBQ'd rump steak is absolutely the best way to cook it though. Nice hot coals so that the outside is seared and the inside is still pink.

Oh and i didn't mention, T-Bone if i could ever sensibly afford it (so no :p) Otherwise here's to hoping some kind of tenderloin/sirloin cut is available at clearance price somewhere. Or my butcher is feeling especially generous (VERY unlikely!).

Me & Leon had steak on Friday. They were of Morrisons' Best Scottish rump steaks and cost £4.30 for 2 nicely-sized pieces. It was SO unbelievably tender, one of the most tender steaks I've ever had. I was seriously impressed and will be buying it again in future!! We both have ours rare, simply seasoned on each side and cooked on a cast iron grill pan with a little basting in butter to finish off :)

Having Steak for dinner tomorrow. Has to be rare. Favourite is Blue-rare, medium rare is the most I like it cooked.

I had some yesterday, rib eye in fresh French bread with a little English mustard. Cooked rare in the griddle pan, but not too rare. People make the mistake of undercooking steak in my opinion and it stays tough and has little flavour imparted to it from the cooking.

Hmmmm severely thinking steak tonight might be an excellent idea :D

There are some cuts of steak that rare is necessary, fillets, sirloin and good bits of rump can get away with blue though. Entrecote does need a bit more IMO.
