My god.

Taco Town Taco

Saturday Night Live-inspired: crunchy beef taco with nacho cheese, lettuce, tomato and southwestern sauce wrapped in a soft flour tortilla with a layer of refried beans in between, then wrapped in a corn tortilla with a layer of Monterey Jack cheese in a deep fried gordita shell with guacamole sauce baked in a corn husk topped with pico de gallo, wrapped in a crepe, filled with egg, griere cheese, sausage and portobello mushrooms, all wrapped in a chicago-style deep dish pizza wrapped in a blueberry pancake and finally deep fried with spicy vegetarian chili dipping sauce.

Just had a flick through and most made me feel ill. I've never grown up on fast food and I just couldn't eat something that looked like that.

That being said, the only one that seemed fairly normal ish, is this one:-

12 Bird True Love Roast
Contains 12 different kinds of bird: large turkey filled with goose, chicken, pheasant, aylesbury and barbary duck, poussin and guinea fowl, partridge, pigeon squab, quail and mallard duck. Breast meat from 48 different birds + 8 types of stuffing.

I remember that being on a cooking show where it was for a large party with a receipe dating back to medieval times. I would like to try a few slices of that at some point though.

Not to eat but some of those are awesome ;D the pizza topped with mini pizzas is great.

EDIT: just to point out I doubt a lot of these are staple meals just creations people have made.

Meat (in) Loaf is my favourite. A hollowed out loaf of bread filled with meat and cheese.

Hugh FW did it on one of his shows.

Family friend of mine is an ex-butcher who delights in preparing us 5 bird roasts around new years :D

Very nommable as he's a game-bias butcher - wahoo! :D

I didn't get far on the menu list but did they have "the Stonner Kebab"? Jumbo sausages wrapped in donner meat, battered abd then deep fried?

Looking at those, I would genuinely try almost all of them. I think some of them sound awesome.

As said it was hugh FW. I did the royal roast for Christmas which is Goose stuffed with chicken, stuffed with pheasant and that was great.. Get your butcher to tunnel bone it though. It was so hard to do, I ended up cheating.

Wot, no deep fried Mars bar

Before he died, Elvis Presley was eating about 100,000 calories per day! That's more than enough to keep your average multi-tonne Asian elephant alive - or, enough to keep you or me alive for nearly 60 days!

The basic element of Elvis' daily food intake was a 30-cm long bread roll, stuffed with bacon, peanut butter and strawberry jam. Each one had 42,000 calories, and in his final days, he ate two of them per day, together with little midnight snacks of hamburgers and deep-fried white bread. - ABC Science (http://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2002/10/08/689019.htm)

I heard it was only 50,000 cals he was on a day.

I want an Elvis sandwich now. ;)

I bought The Hubbsta a 7.5 kg bar of Toblerone for Christmas one year. It took him a while to eat.

The deep fired black pudding isn't that unusual. Available from every chip shop around here and a fantastic snack after a night on the beer:)
