I didn't get burned at all, the blast went behind me as I remember but the cameras say otherwise ;D

Methanol is an alcohol, so a little similar to if you run vodka down a bar and set fire to it, it doesn't burn the bar. Although that had a lot of impurities in it as pure methanol burns totally clear.
