Easter Bank Holiday [Archive]

So I'm up getting ready for work and Jhadur is up as there are no buses this early (bloody sunday service) so he is going to drive me in, and I can hear the patter of rain as is due for a bank holiday.
I'm working monday too (although will have to go in later as Jhadur is on nights so I doubt he'll appreciate being woken this early).

Anyone got any fun bank holiday plans? Anyone else stuck working them like me?

Taking Marchant to football on Monday (its his first game of the year because its been too cold before now) and Sunday I am going to see my Mum (and Dad I spose) for free food!

Might go clothes shopping at some point as well, oh and i've got the dog it looks like so I will end up taking him for a run about more than once as well.

I'm not moaning, I am in tonight then off saturday night then in for Sunday & Monday night then I am off till Friday night.

Plans.
Pick up me Camper Saturday morning Early & then spend the day Messing with it. Of course I will be gently smoked the whole weekend. :cool:

Finish at 6pm today for 1 weeks holiday :D

Not planned to be around easter but makes me mighty happy. Schools on the 2nd week of hols next week and 7,000 students coming back into town = chaos in a stupidmarket :|

Lom, I believe, is making Easter nests at Nanas today and the kids will be troughing eggs and having an Easter egg hunt on Sunday. I will be sleeping!

I do get time and a half for working the bank holidays but after my recent vet bill any extra is all going towards that.

I'm going to be cooking chilli and having a go at baking chocolate cream muffins tonight :)

Re working bank hols, I'd actually rather work them and get the extra holiday time to take when *I* want, and not when everyone else is off too!!

I'm not working as I booked it off ages ago :)
I've got a bit of a difficult weekend ahead for me for personal reasons that some of you may know about from last year. However it is quite a busy weekend!
Saturday me and my Mum are visiting my Grandmother and my Aunt and Uncle. Not the sort of day I'd wish on anyone :p But I like my Aunt at least so it'll be nice to see her :D
Sunday we've been invited to Sunday lunch at a friend of my Mum's but we're not sure if we're going yet, deciding on the day as they know it's a tricky day for us, but I'm pretty sure we will be going.

Friday and Monday I'll be mostly playing games hopefully. Got a review to finish if nothing else!

We've had most of this week off with shenanigans (tiling outside loo, gardening, I've been wedding dress shopping, college)... I have an awful lot of work to catch up with next week. Big boo to work!

I'm working today through to Monday at no "extra" rate. I love it though ;D UV party on Sunday and we get to dress like UV tits. After working at "the worst job in the world"™ i'm mooooooore than happy working at Rev's for what i'm on when job satisfaction is this much fun.

Holding my club night tonight - very excited and very nervous! :confused: Not had a bad turn out yet but there's always a first time! Lots of alcohol will be consumed.

Tomorrow I'll recover, maybe do a little shopping. PJ day or see the parents on Sunday, possibly a nice pub lunch depending on who's up for it.

Monday I want to chill out but might end up doing a Whitley Bank Holiday Monday as Cesca has never done one before :)

Today was productive o/ Food shopping in the morning. Promptly followed by working on the MR2. A front end swap comprising of slam panel, bumper, lights, excessive use of the universal adaptor tool (TM), grinding. Then putting it all back together with new bits which already looks loads better. The headlights may even pop up and down.

Not bad going for an afternoons work :D Even the rain didn't stop us.

The rest of the weekend will be spent wiring bits for the lounge. May even have a few more bits done on the MR2.

Most of today was spent washing and polishing the turdo (as my gf calls it). Whilst my workmate was ripping out my manky old green kitchen and started installing a 2nd hand but not bad nick new kitchen :) He's continuing tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'm off to Kodak car club in the turdo, where the saab lot are having a tinker day.

Sunday and Monday not sure, but hopefully a lazy couple of days :)

I've had today off so I went to Lakeside to get build-a-bears in lieu of easter eggs for 2 of the girls. Enjoyed a couple of hours to myself though.

Working tomorrow, then I'm what's known as Storm Car on Sunday so I'll be attending all the jobs that aren't really ever going to be solved but which need a statement taking (like if your bins got nicked etc). It's dull work but I get to spend most of the day being fed cake by little old ladies :)
I think I'm working Monday but I forgot to check. Hope so.
