Well yesterday I bought Josh a book which has magnetic letters and the pages are magnetic, it has a story and you have to guess the blank space and put the magnetic letters on to fill it.
Josh did really well at it apart from the word clown and so he thought he's take the magnetic letters and play with them on my mum's fridge.
He started making words, you know the usual 1st words kids learn to write, cat, dog, hello, bye. anyway he was doing really well and I was really proud.
I sat down and started drinking my coffee when he said "mum, mum come see what I have written now" so I got up and went to see what my clever little monkey had written and he had put B O O B E E on the fridge ;D I told him to change the E after the B to an I and then put an S on the end to spell boobies. we had a giggle and I sat down, then 2mins later he shouts "mum, MUM come see what I have written now Mum" so I get up and go have a look and he had written F O O F on the fridge ;D I tried not to laugh and said "boobies was funny Josh but foof is a bit rude isn't it eh monkey" and then ruffled his hair and I went back to sit down.
3mins later he shouts "mum, mum I have a new word for you to see" so AGAIN I get up to go see what he has written now, I though it was willy this time but no it was worse :( he put the F U K on the fridge.
My sweet 5yr old cheeky little monkey is spelling swear words on the fridge.

Ah the memories of fridge magnets.

I guess he's having fun while learning to spell at the same time. Perhaps you can use this to your advantage and get him to spell less risqué words.

Hah, I always remember going around my mate's place as a kid and rearranging the fridge magnet letters into rude words. He always got the blame for it :)

At the Eden project there is an entire wall of recycled fridge doors covered in magnetic letters...

Emma & I spent a while collecting the best letters so we could spell out "Poo", "Bum", "Arse" and "Willy", placing the letters as high as we could reach so kids couldn't possibly rearrange these lingual gems.

When we returned 5 minutes later, a blasted employee was positioned upon a step ladder removing our frankly exquisite compesitions!

lol well that will follow I am sure :D
The kids did have foam letters for tiles in bathroom, glad the somehow managed to lose most of them as Faysh used to write naughty words all over bathroom and now Josh can do it too!!!
