Does anyone else really hate the new Xbox dashboard? I and my family all struggle to navigate it, we thought the old blade system was so much easier and more straightforward.

It's a touch confusing at best.

Mine keeps freezing for 30 secs - 1 min at times though :(

Personally I much prefer it, think things are much better organised and being able to do stuff in game is a godsend.

I much prefer it :) I especially like the guide, very useful now.

I much prefer the look of it and some of the new features are great, but I find the old blade system seemed to be much faster and easier to use as a whole.

The guide I like, and the section that gives you access to everything that was in the old system (media, system, games etc). The rest of it is fluff.

The only major gripe I had with the old blade structure was the marketplace was a pain to navigate. So I would be happy with the old system and the new improved marketplace pages and the mini-guide!

I really like it but it does feel a bit slower than the old dashboard which at times is irritating.

The new dashboard is good and the marketplace is easier to navigate but it does freeze a bit too often.

There's too much guff in the new one. And would it pain them at all to include a setting so you can choose which of the many screens it starts on?

choose which of the many screens it starts on?
You mean a screen apart from the one with all of the adverts on? Fat chance :p

Indeed. That's my only major complaint with it (though I didn't spend much time with the blade system). If I want to go somewhere quickly I head straight for the Guide button.

I don't mind it but I prefer the PS3 board to the XBOX one. Although not as visually polished, I prefer it's simpler interface. It really is a doddle to navigate around and I find it to be more intuative.

I'll throw in my 2p here and say that why can't they just bunch up the DLC for Lips/RB/GHWT so that the new release lines don't read one long line of music tracks!!

If they really want to push music DLC then re-work the dashboard to have a semi-dedicated link for such content and let us see the other items release that week without having to dig through the rest.

Ooh I definitely agree Zico, that's soooooo annoying! And means I often miss out on other DLC.

I like the PS3's 'XMB', but it's far from simple. I often find myself going through 5 different options which could all quite easily be grouped together to find the setting I want.

Definately! :(

I hate looking at DLC and all I see is RB2/Lips in all the slots - I play other games too ffs :p
