Some advice about my site (pweaasee!)

I realllyy want to get my outdoors website up and running, and I think the main thing I need to focus on is the GUI as at the moment it is very hard to navigate around.

I've found a gorgeous theme for the forum which I feel makes it look nicer, and is easier to use, but I need some opinions.

If you was to use the site, what wouldn't you like about it?

The main site looks a bit text heavy to me. Whilst I don't like loads of flashing banners and images, a few more wouldn't go a miss. Maybe each article could have a main pic with it?
