I've seen a couple of these pics before, but there's a whole collection here and it's simply stunning

That's going to take more than my homemade cardboard "ice scrapey thing"!

Brrr!

Those windswept photos really are astonishing!

Reminds me of a Canadian live web cam (http://www.sweetwatercruises.com/id5.html) that I look at quite regularly. In the winter there's normally a couple of feet of snow there. In the summer though it's rather lovely with barbecues and people walking about etc.

Things like this remind me why we're so lucky to have the gulf stream keeping us temperate.

I keep seeing this thread and thinking 'yup it is cold here'.

Bloody freezing getting off the plane this morning, lovely sunshine outside, is it bad to want to stay in in my pjs and not venture outside?

My body can't move... it thinks its 2am, but my eyes seem to be ok... so far.

He's on the boat in the distance?

Snorkelling under the jetty?

;)

Looks a very close match. If only the top picture had the right-most bollard in shot, which is slightly askew in yours, it would prove it!

This is the sort of climate I love. Unlike the UK, the weather knows what it's doing. It's either hot or it's cold, none of this indecisiveness that grey cloud seems to bring :)

Although, saying that, they way the weather has been recently, I shouldn't complain.

I don't think it's the same jetty, Pheebs Dad isn't stood on it.

Yeh that and if I didn't have my big fat head in the way of the Versoix sign ;D

If you walk down from the jetti, round a bend on your right and then turn left there's this fish and chip shop with an awesome sign in it...

;D

And an old fashion chocolate factory is just round the corner!! Nom nom nom!

Such a beautiful place! Canny believe the difference in weather... it was proper stonking when we were there!
