Posted in poker thread but thought I would do a bit of willy waving in it's own thread ;D

Played in a big final on Saturday

Over 4000 folks started in 100 venues

then down to 16 regional finals

and then to 134 folks at national final

And I came 2nd :D

I'm more interested in who pocketed the cash that was supposed to have gone into the prize fund and whether the timing of the gaming commission's intervention was entirely coincidental....

something that has certainly crossed my mind, I know the MD of the company that ran it, I would ask him but he went off for a golf holiday in Portugal the morning after the final ( seriously ) mmm :shocked:


re the timing, the commision clamped down on an earlier tournament but that final was not being held in a licenced gaming premise, lets say I doubt that the promotors argued too strongly
