Team outings

I just had the mixed pleasure of being in a club with the entire Gloucester rugby team. Twenty very drunk, very horny, very predatory guys in a small club is possibly the scariest and funniest thing I've ever come across. Thank God I'm not female. I was a bit worried as to what would happen if they kicked off though, as they were all bigger than all of the bouncers.

Having to be the "guy friend" who "looks after" your attached female friends in clubs is edgy enough without the problematic guys being three times your size and completely hammered.

But, overall, the hilarity was worth it, and it was a good night. My best mate was practically messing his pants all night, as he's a big Gloucester rugby fan. I've probably got some good pictures as well to look back on a night of madness.

Have any of you guys ever come across a team out and about? I imagine that they are all the same! Play hard and party harder and all that jazz.

Been out with the Bournemouth Football Club and I swear my drink was spiked. All I remember is having one or two baileys and then feeling mightily ill and calling my regular taxi man to come get me. He apparently found me, carried me to his car, found my keys, got me home and got me on the stairs. He's about 4foot tall this dude and to carry a what-he-thought was wasted 5foot8 girl home.... he's a legend. What I remember of the club... they were very crude and brash. Not really my scene.

Other than that, the local rugby team went a bit bonkers when a couple of chaps walked into my bar. I didn't have a clue who they were but apparently they were big time rugby players! So I've pulled some pints for a couple of players but I'll be damned if I can remember their names!

When I go out for a few with my rugby teammates it always always ends up messy, and often most people tend to leave the tube carriage we're in or they join in the festivities! :D Whilst we may be loud we just enjoy a bit of camaraderie, I think it's great. We've never had any scuffles, and never had any problems with the police or the bouncers and usually a lot of female attention! :D

Other than that I've seen the 'quins out on a night out, as well as the wasps, always a fun night out and nothing to cack your pants about though. :)

Our local club used to turn up in town on a Saturday night after a game all still wearing their shirts and club ties. They used to stroll around the pub like they owned the whole town. Always made me laugh :D

I used to play on trial-basis for Bristol Shoguns and those nights out were both great fun and full of banter, but it never progressed to what I would consider trouble...

(Unlike footballers in general, us rugby chaps are Gents who keep the aggression to the pitch :p )

The only exception to this was on a night out in Weston-super-Mare, our captain sped off on his tod up the road to a cash point as 'the bunch' casually swaggered a few hundred yards behind; As he arrived at the distant cash point, two thugs clocked him over the back of the head (with what we found out later to be a half brick!!!) and pegged it off down the road with his phone and wallet...

...towards around ~20 of his close rugby mates who just whitnessed the whole ordeal...

Silly boys.

When the six nations is on you see just about everyone at a few specific clubs around Edinburgh, i've seen wales just training outside on the meadows (a park over the road from me) in the morning. All the girls tend to go mental (funny enough) when they're out and about, and you can imagine the player tend to play off this. Although you'll often see they won't be drinking at all due to captains orders...

I've worked behind the bar at Leeds United players Xmas parties. The first time I was 18 and got blotto with quite a few of them. The bird I had my eye on passed over me for a big ugly Scandinavian on about 40k a week :( She pleasured him there and then in the kitchen. If only I'd told her I was a Leeds player!

Lived on the same street as a couple of Leeds Rhinos players, and plenty of them (and a few Saints players to boot) go to my local boozer too.

I'm not a fan of violence either - find it totally unecessary.

I was more concerned about my victim friend who was conscious but had a melon size swelling and blood dripping from his head :(

He was fine in the end and never saw the idiots again- apparently they did get very, very scared by a few of the nastier looking forwards. :p
