Don't know whether this is common knowledge or not but there is an Easy trick to speed up your Browsing whilst using Firefox.
Open Firefox.
Type about:config in the addy bar.
Type network in the Filter box.
Double click network.http.pipelining & set it to TRUE.
Double click pipelining.maxrequests & set value to 10.
Your pages will load Much faster now, Enjoy.
The problem is that some sites do not work well with so many requests.
FF3 is pretty nippy anyway :)

I have the Speed, There is no going back now I am a Speed Junky, What can I say :o
Setting it any higher than 8 won't do much, it can only do 8 regardless of what you set the number to.

Although, I was under the impression this didn't do a lot since v2.0 anyway.
In that case, I'll set mine to 23.
Ohhh, deffo seems faster :)

It is without doubt Loads faster. If it breaks the Interwebz we will be Famous so go for it. ;D
Well, people have been using it for well over 2 years now, I have at any rate, so if the web was going to break, I suspect it would have done so by now :P

Excellent, Happy Birthday mate, I don't often drink but I will pour another one with Your name on it.
Some sites might break with that setting. Most will be fine. Go for it. :)
And Happy Birthday divine. :)
Alternative suggestion: Install the FasterFox add on, then be nice to web hosts by switching it to RFC compatible mode.
Is there a new version of that anywhere?
I had it and it got disabled because it's not compatible with FF3, or at least one of the subsequent releases.

Running it quite happily under FF3 at home :)
I'll have to look around for a new version then because it's disabled itself and claims to not run under 3.0.10

Hmmm. I guess there is vaguely a chance I bypassed the disable messages as I'm oft inclined to do (registered people can). Nevertheless, it's working fine ;D

There is a version (2.0.0 - April 20th 2009) of FasterFox that claims to work with Firefox v3 HERE (http://www.mediafire.com/?eoynznjxitg); personally, I haven't tried it; at the moment, I am quite content with the "off-the-shelf" Firefox + NoScript, AdBlock & the British English Dictionary :)
