Software Update is knackered on my Macbook - it just sits there and never actually does anything. Luckily I can open terminal and do it through there.

One improvement really grabbed my attention:

Resolves an issue that may cause certain third-party printers to print to the incorrect paper tray.

Not any more it isn't! 10.5.7 seems to have fixed it.

I'm just updating the Mini.

Bugger - that appears to have killed the Mini. When it gets to the logon screen I just get a white background with some garbled black text and graphics.

Ah well, good job I have a time machine backup.

Panic over I think, a few more reboots should have it up and running again.

It'd be a real pain if it is knackered because I was planning on using it on the Eurostar tomorrow to keep me occupied.

There's a fix on the mydellmini forums, I spotted it last night but I can't get to it easily from work to link it.

D'oh! Nah, that Mini is still dead :/

There's a fix on the mydellmini forums, I spotted it last night but I can't get to it easily from work to link it.

I just found it - seems the fix is what I'd already done so it's all good :)
