... and a torch :)

All were taken in a blacked out room at ISO400, f/5.6, and shutter speeds between 1 and 3 seconds.

I used auto focus to select the bit I wanted in focus, and then swiched to MF so the camera wouldnt be hunting for a focus point in the dark :) Once I released the shutter, I gave the subject a quick burst with the torch, was quite fun :D

1 - Ignore the watermark, its going in the 365 is all :)

2 - No vignetting used at all!

I didnt want crit on these pics, as I know there are loads of things wrong with them, just getting you all to try something similar :)

I have thought about light painting just haven't go around to it yet, I'm sure I will though, that and forced bokeh are both on my list :)

Come to think of it, doesnt he look a bit tantastic now? It must be all that running around trying to save the princess ;D

The flower is gorgeous like that - maybe you could do a series of 3 different flowers/colours or something for a print?

Was that a hint? ;D

Nice effect there with the flower. Not sure about the second shot though - not from a photography POV, but rather that it's the sort of thing that leads to Chucky-style nightmares. :D

They look uber cool, when you say painting what are you doing one flash? Have you thought about different types of lights moving across a subject, something with a strange wavelength like tube lighting mixed with a 100w bulb? Could give some realld odd/strange but yet interesting pictures :)

Or just coloured lights as well i guess :p These kind of photos make me want to buy a camera but then i realise that i really shouldn't be spending money like that just yet for this, however much i want to...
