That is a great shame :(

I'm a big fan of his work and have reread most of his series many times. A sad loss to the genre and to literature in general.

Noooooo... loved all his work (apart from the Elder Gods / Dreamers series which started great, became all about witty one liners, and then had the most atrocious ending ever.)
Great shame :'(

Belgariad is still one of my most loved fantasy series, and Redemption of Althalus is superb.
