Share a nice little Yaris, not going to take it back up to University with me though – no point up there (everything within ten, twenty minutes walk).

Still sinking in and it’s over two hours ago! ;D

Congrats :) Even though you're not taking the car to Uni, be sure to spend time in it when you're home for holidays etc.

I've got some mates who passed their test at the same time as me about 5 years ago but hadn't driven at all though Uni and when I go out with them now it's like being in the car with a learner again.

congrats nige - I can still remember passing mine, though mainly due to the extreme sweaty back which no other task where you essentially sit still for the better part of an hour can reproduce :p

Now you start learning to drive

the M6 isn't scary, unless you happen to be scared of being perfectly stationary in a car, with no sign of moving for hours.

gratz nige

Exactly what I faced last week :(

Was going down a route which didnt warrant the toll. Gutted.

I didn't like the M6 at all. Too used to the M4 and the M4 is a lot simpler and a lot emptier, at least at the times of day I go along it.

it's the worst road i've ever been on. i was stuck in traffic on it at midnight, for an HOUR AND A HALF a few months ago, because they'd closed 2 lanes for road works. i've been on the toll once...i think it has speed cameras now

the M4's great...lovely scenic road...until you get to swansea! :p

and don't even talk to me about the A30. 2.5 hours to get out of Newquay last friday :(

The M6 toll has scameras now? Bugger, I used to love screaming up there on my bike.

Never seen cameras on there :S Though I do recall seeing a mobile camera warning on TomTom right at the top, now you mention it.
