Some words are inherently funny. Words like blancmange, halibut and festoon.
Some words are funny by association like gusset or crevice.

But which word for undergarments is funnier: knickers or pants.

Voted, but there is no funnier word than potatoes. Think about the word potatoes then imagine a small pile of potatoes and realise that those small little brown things are called potatoes. Then say it slowly and eventually either you'll laugh or the word will lose all meaning.
