View Full Version : Is this enough to get out of a contract?

I've heard before that a phone network changing their T&C's warrants a reason to quit the contract you have with them.

They text me a couple of days ago saying there will be a change in roaming charges.. I took a look and the cost of calls are actually going UP by about 30p/minute.

Seeing as I use roaming quite a lot, would this be sufficient cause to terminate the contract early?

I've had a google but everything seems rather vague :(

Call them with the mindset that you can and want to and see what happens?

Try looking on UK hot deals they used to flag this sort of things up.

Probably unlikely but worth checking out HUKD as MB says they'll be all over it if theres any reason to be...

I think if you call them up and tell them that the reason you signed thecontract with them was to get the same charges for the length of the contract they will do something about it.

Seems stupid to have a contract otherwise!

very doubtful. There will be some clause that allows them to vary their price as long as they give notice. Thus stopping you cancelling the contract
