Quick question:
O2/Be look like there about to make LLU services ready in our local exchange. We are thinking of switching to O2 broadband in the meantime (saves £12 quid) and then jump to LLU services when available.
However quick googling and I mean quick I can't find out what the O2 router is - anyone know?
It's a rebranded Thomson TG575 v7 afaik, assuming they are still giving out the O2 Wireless Box II.
I'm still using mine and it's a perfectly decent box, hugely stable and decent enough speed. Nothing wrong with it that makes me want to drop £50+ on a different one.
Aye, O2 box isn't bad at all. Not quite as customisable as my old Netgear but it certainly does the job and not had any problems at all.
Mine sometimes doesn't give IP address out properly but other than that its been fine, if you have an O2 mobile you'll get it even cheaper too! My old man is paying £7 odd for an 8MB Line because he has an O2 PAYG phone.
yeah we're with Be and have the Thomson TG575 v7.
it's got nothing on my WRT-54 with DD-WRT on, but as a router that doesn't do a lot apart from provide a wired, and wireless connection to everyone at home, its great. don't have a bad thing to say about it.
