ADMIN.
I've put it down here until I get it in MY hands so to speak & then tomorrow afternoon we can sling it in motoring. You know what it's like though QUICK TO THE INTERWEBZ :D

I bought this earlier off a Dude on flea bay, It's local so I went & viewed it prior to bidding, I had the highest bid of 254 or summit but the reserve was 350. The Dude phoned me after the auction ended & said did I want it for 350, I told him after seeing it & it ending at 254'ish I'd pay 300 quid for it, He spoke to somebody in the background & then came back & said 320 quid, I told him No 300 quid was what I would pay as it needed a stereo, He said Ok so I pick it up at 10am in the morning which will give me time to sort my insurance out.
I've bought it to do my Daughter/grandson runs in & have a 2nd motor to my Landy. This frees me up to Proper go for it in the Landy as it won't be my one & only transport so it won't matter so much if I bend/break it & I can go more extreme with the mods as road use will be just local & minimal.

So.
It's a VW Polo CL Diesel in Red on a 97/P with around 90k up it. Yes it's been lowered & blacked out & alloy wheels etc but it's a Dub Polo 1.9 with a Gen 90k up it for 300 quids.
I'll sling some derv in it & it'll make the Perfect vehicle for cruising down my Daughters for Minimal cost. I'll do a Full MPG test & see what I get & post it.
Of course it wouldn't be a thread by me without pics would it so here you go.

Just spoke to me mate Jim & I'm borrowing his Trade plates to pick up me chavmobile, I'll sort the Insurance at 9am & then toddle off down to pick it up at 10am. I plan on taking it down his yard & giving it the once over. Then I'll go get the tax & try & sort a CD player out for it.
Once sorted I'll take it for a Long test run, If it passes my test drive & I can sort some tunes out I'll give it a rip down South later.

One of my mates might have a CD player laying around if SWMBO hasn't thrown it out. Can check if you want?

Went & bought it at 10am as arranged, Started sweet & drives pretty damn good as well for a lowered old banger, Pulls Really well through the gears & feels quick & responsive (Derv Quick), I like it & the driving position & the way it drives.
Took it down to Jims for a quick Turd polish & here it is after 55 minutes of attention.

Cheeky Wet shots of course. ;)

Looks pretty good for £300, probably not the most comfortable way to do long trips but must be better than the Land Rover. :D

You'd be surprised how comfortable it is mate, The suspensions not hard & it doesn't bottom out, Of course if you hit a hole you feel it more but it's not as bad as it looks.

She's Legal, Insured this morning for 250 quid & taxed for 6 months for 104 quid, :(
I needed a Stereo so I went to Halfrauds & purchased a Sony 4x45w unit for 79.99, There was cheaper but I have a JVC 4x40w matched to some 140w Kenwoods in my Landy but I wanted a tad more in the Motorway muncher. Ended up getting the Sony & some 220W door speakers that kick ****, Sounds are sorted.
Took her down my mates Tyre & Exhaust place earlier in the day to give her the once over, Jacked up the front & all was well except one of the rubber tops on the near side strutt, Nowt to worry about, Jacked up the back & Both rear wheels were about falling off. :p Both wheel bearings completely shot so my mates Dad got a pair sent over & they were fitted in less than an hour.
Drives sweet now & I know I can give it death without any wheels falling off. :p
I'm not used to the limited power band yet & keep hitting the limiter.
When you get it right though it pulls well & is quite quick for a Derv up to 80mph.
S'pose All in she owes me 500 quid but has nigh on 6 months tax is Legal & ready for some miles.

Note.
I don't include the stereo & speakers in the price as they Stay with me.

Had to sling a bearing in the front off side as well yesterday, No play in it just a grumble that was coming up the chassis. Sorted now though & she drives & tracks Perfect.
I took it out for my Motorway test early this morning which involves a gentle cruise out some distance & then a Death thrash on the way back with an Immediate switch off, I stop at my mates cob wagon & have brekky whilst I watch & listen to the motor cool & wait for any liquids to dump out the bottom, It Passed & I must say Cruises Lovely on the motorway, I reckon it'll sit at 80 All day no probs with a little left for take overs when needed.
All in all I am happy & I actually like the car.

Edit.

O Yer.
Bets are being taken on when the front nearside bearing will need doing, With 3 New bearings on I reckon the nearside one will last about 2 weeks, Especially seeings it's the nearsider that takes all the load from roundabouts. :D
