Every now and again I'll have some nutter ring me on my work mobile or randomly add me on msn. This morning pre my morning cuppa I had a call on my work mobile....

Me:- Matt X Speaking
Caller:- Hi I'm Claire from Social Services, is that Matt?
Me:- yes.....
SS:- I'm calling about your child
Me:- Erm, I think you have the wrong number, I don't have kids
SS:- Yes you do! You have a lovely daughter called Shelly, she's 4.
Me:- :jawdrop: ...... (I'm frantically thinking dates, uni time yep, broke up 4 years ago with a girl..... uh oh)
SS:- Hello, Hello?!
Me:- erm, yep. You sure you want me?
SS:- You are Matt X on <blah>88
Me:- No I'm Matt Y on <blah>66
*She then starts giggling*
SS:- Sorry I have the wrong number
Me:- You damn nearly gave me a heart attack!

She then starts laughing a lot apologising for scaring me. She then goes off to the poor Matt with the phone number ending 66. Christ that was a close call, I had a coffee rather than a tea after that one. She sounded fairly pissed off as well which made it a hell of a lot more shocking!

How has your Monday morning been?

Well no-ones tried to tell me I have an illegitimate child so far, so better than yours I suppose. :D

I could do with another weekend to be honest. The one just gone was the last before I get hitched on Saturday and it was all a bit mental.
I'm not really busy at work and have a hundred things I could be doing at home. It's all a bit frustrating.

EDIT: Hmmm. I've subconsciosly added this to a thread entitled 'A blokes worst nightmare'. Jitters must be getting to me ;)

Best of luck matey :) This coming weekend is our last before the big day, but hopefully it will be relatively relaxed as we hope *touches wood* that everything is pretty much sorted now.

Cheers, Davey. Best of luck to you guys too. :)

Biggest worry right now is the weather. Heavy showers forecast all week. :(

Eek!

Still, better than a bloke's worst reality: when you find out that your child isn't actually yours.

Does sound bad, but then I wouldn't consider it my worse nightmare... that would probably be some kind of Bobbitt scenario :o

Popped into superdrug at the weekend and was in the queue behind a very young couple, probably not much more than 16, she had a pregnancy test in her hand and he looked nervous. I remember going through much the same thing at that age.

In Boots, we reckon we well 5x more pregnancy tests than condoms.

I found after me and my first girlfriends experience with a pregnancy test I've def spent much more on condoms, nothing like staring down that path that that would have taken us for a few days to help put things in perspective.

That's because you can't buy a pregnancy test in the pub toilets. :D

That because condoms are free!
