As I've been dreading removing the damn things, I still have my car parking stickers on the windscreen from Silverstone last month.

As I feared, they're proving a nightmare to remove. They're horrible thin paper things with uber-glue on them and are scored to make them fall apart when you try to peel them off, obviously as a theft deterrent.

Anyone got any ideas on how to remove these infernal things, short of brillo pads!?

Grrrrr :(

Use some solvent (Isopropyl Alcohol, nail varnish remover and the like) which would dissolve the adhesive.

I want a can of Aussie WD40, known as "Start Ya Bastard!"

Um, WD-40 doesn't contain any ether. That is starting fluid, not a penetrating lubricant. ;)

But I do like the name.
