It is amazing how much they have come down over the last couple of years!

I'm in Spain atm and it's free for me to text anywhere in the EU (well, counts as 4 x contract texts.. which I have unlimited off!) and calls to the UK/EU are 35p/min or 18p/min to receive... I remember when they were the charges in the UK to call another UK mobile xD

Just wish data would go down.. £3/mb in EU and £6/mb elsewhere... ouch!

Wish I could say the same for Egypt. £1.40 a minute to make a call and £1.30 to receive a call :(

From 1 June to 31 August it won't cost you any more to call, text or send picture messages when you're abroad than it does at home. This is because we've abolished our normal 75p roaming charge – which is what you usually pay to connect a call to the UK with Vodafone Passport.

Only in Europe though isnt it?

I was paying £1.16 a minute to make calls from Mexico and 84p a minute to receive them, plus each txt was 4 off my allowance.

I'm not sure how Vodafone get away with the 75p charge in the first place within Europe. EU law now sets the maximum roaming charges, which is where the 35p/min comes from, for example - it's the maximum allowed.
