I'm against it as a matter of principle since there are very few films that are ever improved by being remade but not having watched more than about five minutes of the original I don't know if it needs improved or not.

If they were remaking Road House then that would be a good reason to be annoyed - I think it can fairly be said to be a high point in the careers of all concerned.
