Now that I'm about to ready to go with my HTPC, I've realised that I'll be playing a lot of music through it and I'm missing a lot of artwork. I just Googled for 'album artwork finder' and a hell of a lot came up! Anyone used a decent program in the past? iTunes never seems to find anything and besides I ******* hate it.

I use Tag&Rename

Works for me and cost buttons.

I'd like to know this too, but I want to be able to control what it changes (I've spent ages getting artist/title tags the way I want them and don't want nothing ****ing with them ;D).

PS - in my case, must work with FLAC files.

I'm with Mark here. Loads of times I've had my library named perfectly, only for me to download an album art "finder" and for it to rename virtually everything, and normally to something completely random!

Why would it rename? Does it just look at the length of the tracks and download the artwork & given file/track/album names? I'm not quite so anal about keeping my collection in order any more but I don't want the whole lot being renamed!

Personally, I use the FREE MP3tag (http://www.mp3tag.de/en/) and download the actual artwork from wherever I find the best stuff which I resize if appropriate. It is slow but I get what I want :)

Consistancy.

I had to reinstall EAC recently and it defaulted to a track naming format I don't use - T&R went through and renamed all the files according to the format I use.

It can even connect to various online services to get correct track names and album art - you can select what you want to import to the files.

Tag & Rename is great.
I recently purchased TuneUp for iTunes and I'm very impressed with that too.

Music Brainz Picard with the album art plugin, all totally drag and drop automatic, takes them from amazon i think, and can embed and leave a folder.jpg as well. It'll do more than half of your music within about 3 clicks and a bit of waiting, and the other half will need nudging in the right direction :)
