View Full Version : It's Friday evening...

It's Friday evening. I'm currently sat in a flat I'm renting for a few weeks, in Oulu (Finland). I have a huge mug of Yorkshire Tea, and I'm sat by an open window whilst I write my best bit of software to date. Outside, the air is fresh and the girls are stunning (second only to the women on BD). Tomorrow, I will borrow a car so I can make my 5th visit to the Arctic Circle.

I hope other people are having a cracking evening too. *raises mug*

Wanna swap? I'm in ****ty north London having drinks with people I don't want to be with. Ok so I can't write software but I'd swap it in a second!
Good luck and enjoy it mate. :)

Sure! Not for London though, I'd swap for some more teabags, I'm running low... :)

I'm doing OU work. Ask me tomorrow when I'll be relaxing with a beer watching the Grand Prix. Or the day after when I'll be relaxing with a beer watching the Grand Prix.
(I don't have much planned for this weekend)

The best weekends are the ones that aren't planned. :D

*offers to send tea bag supplies*

Am sat at home (finally starting to call it that) watching the telly, and faffing about on the net. Am off to see my friend in Birmingham tomorrow, and then Sunday is pub and footy on the telly day, plus my friends birthday. Back to trying to find a job again on Monday, but on the good side, I have found a few I am going to apply for, so fingers crossed that side of things. :)

Yours sounds lovely as well Goose. Will, sorry your evening is crappy, shall I txt you some smut? ;)

Hmmm.

Sat in a flat watching whatever rubbish I can find drinking industrial strength coffee.

It's a good night.

[edit]
Just re-read that - how sad is my life..

Goose

I could do with a kettle too, actually. I'm having to use one of those coffee machines and it takes ages to fill a cup. :D

Work software I'm afraid, nothing too exciting.

Got a huge bag of drugs off my GP to help with the gammy shoulder. Been on the phone to the bank to cancel my card after it was cloned. Treated ourselves to a concillatory Indian & a night of 6 feet under :)

Swap? Done. I can even write software. ;D

This weekend I'll be going through stacks of rubbish this weekend. Been procrastinating for far too long and now it's time. The box is full of paper and so heavy I can't lift it at all - that's how much I have to do. :'(

My reward if I get it done is the new phone I've been planning for ages, and a big start on the road to getting my 43in plasma back in usable state, so it's not all bad. :)

Well. now you mention it, I didn't buy the sugar, I found it, so some sugar would be good. Let me go and check the milk.

It can wait, though. Your weekend of chill, pub and footie should take preference.

Glad you got yer drugs honey, drugs are gooooood! Hope the bank sorts things out soon.

I now have a Jack Russell who has the whole bed to sit on, yet has decided he wants to sit on me, so this took several attempts to type!

I know, I wave at your building whenever I cycle past, just in case. :p

Until recently I used to sit that side of the building, but my eyesight isn't good enough to see you waving. I did recently see a car fire though (just outside the new retirement flats).

I now sit the other side of the building away from a window so sadly your waving is now in vain. :(

I've got an evening of watching TV while browsing the net all night. I'm already bored and mentally working out what I want to do once I can walk around again :/

So far the highlight of my weekend will be a brief trip to Blockbuster tomorrow. Desperately hoping to be able to be driven around the Gower on Sunday but the rate my foot's been feeling, I'm trying to not build up my hopes too much.

Blimey, that sounded miserable ;D Erm......on the plus side I don't have a broken arm too? :D

So, not only do I have to set fire to a car, I have to get around the building? ;)

Blame the parents, it was that or some peppermint crap, plus I had the parents going "Why are you lining all that up on the worktop and taking a picture of it?" ;D

Goose

All is forgiven then, on the tea ladder PG tips is way about peppermint. hehehe ;D

Woke up about 45 minutes ago after a nice 3 hour nap (had a sinus headache all day and it was sleep or cry)

Have the house to myself so cooking fish for dinner and will be watching Lie To Me momentarily.

I'll be slightly more sociable tomorrow when I'll be heading out with Mr SINC to watch his sisters band play :)

I'm sitting here working from home dealing with a support team that has taken over 4 hours to fix a project, which they did by deleting everything and doing it all again, so it all needs re-checking, again.

The kitchen is also a mess because I had to cook while bashing emails and IMs back, and my hands hurt after deciding to bleach the bin and couldn't be bothered to use a glove. And am soaking wet thanks to the busted shower head.

Oh well.

I'm at work, awaiting a pizza delivery, and getting frustrated with servers mis-behaving, networks mis-behaving and Plesk being a complete PAIN. cPanel smoothly handles migrations, for the most part. Plesk? I swear it would be easier some times to jump out a window on the 20th floor and land unaided with no injuries...

Tonight I'll be taking a walk on the beach with Lana, enjoying the pacific sunset and chilling out hopefully!

Last night I enjoyed some beers and tapas with my step-family (step mother, step sister and step sister's boyfriend...), which I didn't have to pay for \o/

Today I am meeting some weird interweb peoples on the South Bank :D

Any London-based BDers who fancy a pint this afternoon are more than welcome to come and join us :)

Mr Von, what happened in the end? I assume it was in the countryside, and not a prank!
