As Zirax just so kindly remarked another year has gone past.

I was down in London for the day, went around the eye, saw #10 - what you can of it anyway, and the camera fell out of it's case, destroyed the filter, busted the cap, and crushed the filter into place.

The main lens might be okay (it's a bridge lumix fz50), except I can't see any way to get the filter off and replace it. Anyone any ideas of had this before and found a shop or even panasonic helpful? The damn thing survived south america (Peru) and Germany, Italy and Greece but not a day in London.

Depend on how it's been crushed on, I assume the problem is probably grip. If so, something like this might give you some more leverage:

Don't forget to hold onto the lens as you don't want to put too much torque into the lens mechanism.

PS - no, I don't use that site. Simply the first usable result from Google.

It's the top part of the filter, landed in basically the worst possible way.

I gave it a go with a standard rubber glove earlier but no joy :( Will look out for one of those things and might see what jessops or something says.

If it comes to it, I have no problems posting mine to you. I will need it back though. :)
