View Full Version : Anyone for a burger?
http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2009/heart-attack-grill-p1.php
I guess Chandler, AZ needs something to make it memorable. I've been there numerous times for work and it is one of the most instantly forgettable places I've been.
Holy ****! 8,000 calories!
Sign me up for a double quadruple burger.

Sign me up for a double quadruple bypass burger.
;)
If it was in a fresh bun I'd gobble it up. I'm a little squeamish about the bun being fried in lard as well though. Clearly that's just to needlessly ramp up the calories.
THE NURSES. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE BRING ME THE NURSES :p
Made me think of this photo we took in Santa Barbara :p

:D
Likewise - I'd probably only go as far as a double, but not in that bun. Fresh bun every time.
8000 calories my ass. Deep fried or not, no chance.
There would have to be over 3kg of beef in it for a start.
Cooking everything (especially the bun) in lard will make a big contribution I'd expect, and did they include the fries and coke in that? :dunno:
I felt guilty about having a KFC snack box for lunch!
BB x
They actually look quite rank :/ I like a tasty burger that doesn't try to be healthy, but that just doesn't look nice.
Oh and if you want any hope of either looking like one of those nurse waitresses (girls) or being able to pull one (boys or maybe even a few of the girls ;) )... then run, run away from that burger and never look back!
I agree Muban, they don't look at all nice. Burgers have a bad reputation but that's more a case of bad ingredients cooked badly. A nicely cooked burger made with good quality ingredients can be an extremely nice meal.
May I be the first to welcome our new artery clogging overlords, and greet them with a hearty "NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM!!!!
/macho.
It does look disgusting but for free I would certainly give one a go ;)
Even as a fat git, that doesn't appeal. Some of it does, but ffs, they don't stock diet coke.
I'd rather eat fried dog****. :dunno:
What Feek said too. Did they ever consider that some people don't care about the 'diet' label and just prefer the taste? I guess not.
I want a proper burger :(
I want a proper burger :(
Come up here, there's a fantastic 'American' diner in the next town that does awesome burgers. They'll even do the burgers rare if you ask and the meat is good enough that I'll eat them rare.
That has to be a joke... surely. :/
I like a naughty feed as much as the next person from time to time - but that's absolutely disgusting, vile.
I mean the quadruple one has 2lbs of meat, so the whole burger is probably close to 3lbs... of food?! In one go? That's beyond horrendous! Over 1kg of food?
I know it's a joke etc... but I actually find that almost offensive.

Mike's burger? :D
My local (to work) pub makes superb burgers. They do a range including chilli and nachos, and I'm sure they use the same ground beef to make the burgers too, on-site. It's the best part of £8 including chips and '****', but you get your money's worth. One time, I almost couldn't finish it. :o Then I manned up.
Burble - DEAL! And I mean that!

My personal favourite burger place...
http://www.nicksdiner.co.uk/
It's well out of the way of pretty much everyone here bar a couple, but great food, great music, Perilli pictures on the wall and a great host.
Love it. :D
Oh My God. I wish I went there (once or twice) on business.
I saw that burger and /Wants tbh. then the birds and it made me think of Spearmint student nights, with added burgers.
take out 99% of the lard and forget the fries and that burger (+ nurses) is awesome, Sheffield needs some.
Serious? Yes, I'm free Monday!
100%!
Only live once! And I want a burger! Even if I have no money! Hahahaha!
Waiting to find out if Miss Knips is available for a potential road trip!

If this doesn't convince you then I don't know what will Feekleboos.
I'd drive up after work on Monday and have to book Tuesday off because I'd be so late home. I shall continue to ponder a bit.
Well I need to get back Monday evening so won't be staying for long :)

PM's will be winging their way to you both in a few short seconds!
Ugh. That looks absolutely disgusting. They don't even look appetising!!! Did you notice the size of most of their customers too? I mean go there for a one-off, fair enough. But most of them looked like they ate there every day :/
We have the only authentic 50's American Diner near us (round the corner from Dee & Daz actually!!). It was shipped over to the UK and sat in a field rotting for years before someone decided to do it up. Leon's been there a couple of times and apparently they do awesome milkshakes. I'm waiting for him to take me there :p [link=http://www.american-auto-club.co.uk/aac_articles/index.php?task=show&id=16]Linky[/url]

If he's got any room for pudding they should go to a place I went to in Seattle in 2006. This is the half portion. I repeat, the half portion:

The cake was served on a dinner plate and the silver thing on the left hand side is a quarter placed there for size comparison.

That place round from Dee & Daz's is awesome had a great burger last time I was there :D
So I'm the only one that thinks those burgers look nice huh? You guys...
Knips and I have pondered on the trip and figured its supposed to be a sunny day on Monday and sooo 8 hours of car driving for a burger is going to be swapped for a full day on the beach with two dogs and picnic and burger later!
Genius!
We will come and raid burger goodness soon though! Don't you worry!
I have to say that after consideration, taking a long drive and a day off for a burger seems a little excessive. Perhaps we can be spontaneous about this sometime at a weekend rather than a weekday in the future?
Weekend spontaneity sounds good to me.
8,000 cal for $12.95 ! Bargain !!!

I actually feel sick after watching that! urghhh!
I don't think i'd want so much cheese in a burger, might make things a tad 'oily' tasting :p
I'd give the Heart Attack Grill a whirl for a one-off for novelty value. Waitresses dressed as nurses with the majority of their tits out are always a bonus.
Not somewhere you'd want to eat daily though.
I have venison burger today and it was very yummy - wanted to be a piggy and try boar sausages too but I didn't and am kicking myself now

They're great - as long as they're proper wild boar.
Also occasionally have buffalo steaks too.
I really love my local butcher sometimes.
So you thought the Heart Attack Grill burger looked disgusting?

That looks like the chef ate the burger first and vommed it back out into the bun.
Saw that elsewhere and agree with the comments that the first pic looks like two burgers stacked.
Still, it's only 40-50% the calories of the quadruple bypass. Not even close then.

That ones near me! Come try it! Come try it! ;D
I have to admit that is a fat burger, i used to get my burgers from a shop called fresh 'n' fancy great little place, neh will have to go back again sometimes, but sheeshh 8000 cals, thats almost what i used to eat in a day, i now average about 4-5 although unless training then its more. god dont you just love notbeing able to get fat :(. O well :) its all fun
I don't understand these burgers. I mean, they're not exactly hard to make so if you want something like that just stick a massive fry up in between two buns.

After a mental house party in Brixton, back in my party days (pre-Lom and kids), I woke up after sharing a bed with Bev, my mate Gerry and her brother Barry (the former bank robber). Bev said she'd rustle us up a "Bev Special".
About half an hour later 4 plates arrived, avec tea. On each plate was a slice of toast with bacon on top, another slice of toast, sausage, more toast, fried egg, more toast with beans poured over the top. There are variations with mushrooms and black pudding. Ideal after party food.
We still have the occasional "Bev Special" in our house.

Great - could you courier one to me? I has a hunger

year....I'm hungry now. :/
:(
I wants a "Belly buster" but I know PG will tell me off when she gets home to find me rolling round on the carpet having a 'excess meat episode' ...
*dons ninja garb*
I like it, taking the **** out of American fast food culture, I have been to Orlando and the amount of fast food places just at every town is shocking, you would see 5-6 at every intersection.
Update: I have saved my money, time and waistline by 'enjoying' a cup-a-soup & bagel instead.
Mmmmmmmmm 'wholesome'...

I could probably finish the burger but probably not all the chips as well.
Beats the one in the OP hands down :o

Saw the adverts on US TV, but didn't see any of the shows as they started Friday IIRC.
