Well I have picked up my new motor today. I thought I would let some people have a guess. I have told a couple of people, so try not to give it away. Who knows this could be over really quick.

Clue no.1:-

When collecting the car I had to wear these:-

They are M&K Boots.

Clue no. 2:-

It also has a spoiler made by Prodrive.

More to be added later or when asked :)

RX-8 231 PZ?

I wish :D I know it's obscure at the moment but it does fit together. I'll put the next clue up at 9

A Nissan Primera GT with a Prodrive Impreza spoiler crudely bolted to the rear? :p

Oi, I know I am from Essex ......

It would be a corsa

Clue 3:- It is a V6

Clue 4:- It came with one of these free in the boot, a common occurrence for this car. It would normally have more than one though ;)

Still too cryptic?

That wheel is screaming Vuaxhall at me but I can't pin down which I think it is if not a Vectra.

Ex Police?

Yep an Omega, not ex plod. It is an MV6 though which they used.

Got to say at the moment I am dead chuffed. It zooms along the motorway effortlessly and in comfort! I'm still getting used to the car but it certainly seems to go around roundabouts pretty well considering its size!

It was an owners club car and although no leather (which I did want) it was too good a deal to let go. It does 25mpg and produces enough CO2 to put it in the highest bracket (trees die as I drive past).

It is a 2.6V6 and the MV6. Really impressed with how it drove coming back home, seemed to effortlessly eat the miles. Seats are supportive and yet still very comfy :D

Very nice mile muncher! A lot of taxi drivers around here used to have them (mostly the older models but a few that look similar to yours). I don't see them so often now (probably because I don't use taxis much either), but I had a few runs down to Heathrow in them and it was very pleasant indeed. :)

Heh, that thing is almost a hybrid in comparison to what I drive 3K-4K miles a month.

4.0L I-6, 3spd automatic transmission with overdrive, 4WD, 14mpg. I'd have to go get the smog certificate to see what it actually belches out. It's a full 3+ times the size of a Smart.

I'd give body parts to be able to drive something as nice as what you have there.

Whereas, I'd love to drive your Jeep, but with a 4.0l engine and UK fuel prices on the up. :(

I did borrow my mates Jag Sovereign 3.5l (or is it a 3.0?) a couple of months ago while my car was off the road, I had it for a week and I put the best part of 100quids worth of petrol in it :(

I am down two cylinders I must admit but it makes a nice noise when you open it up.

You beat me on the mpg front :D I am surprised by only 3-speed transmission, thought it would have more for some reason. I would like to take out one of those Jeeps for a spin one day. It's now around £1.05 ($1.75) a litre here for petrol now and it's only ever going to go up :(

Gah an example of people's nastyness.

Did my first long distance commute in the Omega today. Really really happy as I arrived fresh and not tired and annoyed like in the Focus. Cruise control and climate are awesome. Sounds really nice when giving it some beans from the toll booth :D Since I had just had my first long distance run I thought I would give it the once over during lunch.

Quickly popped the bonnet and checking the fluid levels as I had just done 240 odd miles as my first commute. Since I was doing nothing during lunch and it was light seemed like an ideal time. Within 30secs (I kid you not) I get this from about 5 people in a row...

"Broken it already, haw haw"
"Nope I'm checking the fluid levels as I've just done my first long distance commute in it."

Repeat this about 5 times and it starts to piss you off. It's not said in nice joking way either, it's a sly little dig for them.

Then just as I finish I get another "broken it" joker. This one tries to show off to his mate
"I bet that's a diesel!"
"No it's a V6 petrol"
I then get glared at and he walks off. ::/:

Quite surprised by this really. I do like the car but it's an Omega, it's not like I splashed loads on a Audi or something. It's a big car I suppose and not really a young 20 something motor which I suppose is their problem. This is one time I'm glad I can park in the disabled bays at work, I get the impression I would have some dents in the doors appear while at work :( Nice eh?
