Hi everyone, a quick update from me.
After a fairly major accident in my CTR...

I decided i needed a new car. ;)
Picked up this 2004 320d Touring on Friday and ive done 200miles since then, getting 48mpg, double what my CTR was giving me.

I got a diesel because it will hopefully have enough power/torque to pull a trailer+Track toy, this little accident has unfortunately set my plans for a track toy back a month or two. :(
Ouch! I guess you're OK given that you're driving again but that looks nasty. Putting your plans on hold for a while is far better than some other options even if it does feel frustrating. Take care.

BOOOOO!
Diseaseal :(
At least this car drives the correct wheels. :D
Dent in every panel though by the looks of it - congratulations. ;) Although dented panels are the least of the problems with that.
i don't like the facelift ones...
How much was that one, Dreeds?
Blimey, not much to salvage off that! Looks like a good practical estate you have there. It'll be a useful parts carrier for your track car.
I'm selling my MR2 if you fancy it for a track toy :)
Did you ever get charged for dangerous driving?

Man points for the Roll.
As for the new motor it is obviously nice but a bit boring compared to your last.
I still hope you enjoy it though & hope to see a rolled pic of that an all, As long as you gtet out safe again of course. :)
You are celebrating dangerous driving? Christ.
You are celebrating dangerous driving? Christ.
Were you there?
The Police attended, but didnt pursue it as a dangerous driving act, the road conditions at the scene were obviously very poor, i hadnt had a drink, and my lack of experience prompted them to simply put it down to an unfortunate accident... Im just so lucky that i didnt have any passengers and no other cars were involved.
The BMW set me back £6k, obviously many other cars i could have picked for that kind of money, but, as Zirax has touched upon, this will be ideal for towing a little track car, with enough space in the back for spares and tools. :)
As for the devil-fuel, i did 16,600 miles last year in the CTR, I average ~27mpg... this barge is so far returning almost double that. :)
In that case, when do we get to see the video? :p

£6k seems a good price, what sort of mileage/spec?
Ouch! Are you Captain Scarlet? How did you walk out of that without a broken neck?
I don't understand how that could have happened though, what do you mean, lack of experience? What were you doing, cars don't just gambole through the air the minute it starts raining.
Its got 82,000 on the clock, but, its the ES model... Which is why it was cheap. Today ive had the whole rear end tinted and a Parrot MKi9200 fitted, so, ive now got bluetooth handfree and decent iPod control.
Im only short, but fairly stocky (fat) so, my head was well away from the roof when it flattened, and my flab cushioned me very well. :)
