Need to make a special purchase do we Daz? ;D
If you take a ring in to a jewellers that fits whichever finger you might want it to fit ;), you can get the size off that.

Nope :p Dee said she didn't know what it was and I was surprised. Dee thinks its not commonly known, I thought it would be, so.... poll!

I don't know, but then I don't wear rings :) My mom knows hers but she is a jewellery queen. Plus she used to work in a jewellery store :p
I used to but my fingers have swollen :p Generally I could get it right though. I don't wear rings any more because I used to work in a freezing office and my fingers would be so cold that rings would get too big.
Perhaps I should start wearing them again!!

Is it true that rings can stretch over a period of long extensive use?
I seem to remember someone on here saying theirs bent and then broke after a gig where they were clapping / cheering too hard!?

The internet would lead me to believe so
Only one of my girlfriends in the past did, the rest have had no idea. Lana, as much as she loves jewelry and can spend hours just looking at rings and stuff in jewelry shops, had no idea what size she was when we went to get the engagement ring.

It most certainly is. It all depends how ductile the metal is - which depends both on the manufacture and the metal used.
I think I know my Mum's ring size. I have a couple of ring size guides here if anyone is suitably inclined, though I won't vouch for their accuracy (which probably isn't very good).
must....resist....childish..nature........
I've told people here before...
Resistance Is Futile!
PS - No, I wouldn't recommend trying that. It would probably be very painful. ;D

I know my ring size for my right hand but not my left.
Over here we use numbers. Mine is a 9, Tina's is a 6. No idea what that correlates to with the letter designations over there, though.
But since I'm not of the fairer sex, I didn't answer the poll.

I know my ring size for my right hand but not my left.
But your left is the hand that has a the ring finger? Why do you know your right? And how different can your left finger(s) be?
Myself I don't have a clue for but then I don't really need to at the moment.
She probably knows the right side because not being engaged or married, she doesn't need to know her left and has actually bought or been bought rings for the right hand!
As for left/right - Mine are pretty different - about 2 size difference on one finger on one hand to the other but you'd never really notice, even if I held them together. It's just one of them will easily wear one size while the other won't even get it into position.

I clearly need to change my vote ;D
It was an 'N' last time I measured... but that's probably for the other hand :/
Never wear rings so don't really know.
