View Full Version : "It's like Twitter. Except we charge people to use it"
This just had me in bits, laughing at work! Haven't seen it before, so hope I'm not pearoasting! Especially liked the last pie chart.
Clicky (http://www.27bslash6.com/p2p.html)
(safe for work imagewise, but has swearing so might get picked up in filters etc)
That's hilarious! I didn't realise pie charts could be so useful :)

same as me ;D
Utter genius :D
He sounds as deluded as Mr Murdoch who seems to think people will pay for news on newspaper websites when they can get it elsewhere online for free..
And scarily also like any number of people that contact us asking us to design a hosting solution for them (e.g. full streaming video solution capable of sustaining 100,000 hits an hour..) and then balk at just how expensive it will be to get exactly what they want.
You'd be amazed how many people think that freelance writers and photographers are happy to give our work away for free because we get to see our name 'in print'!

It's 'cause you're all a bunch of attention seeking losers with no real life outside your desperate grasping for fame.. or something. ;)
OMG, it's like you're...in my head! ;)
Reminds me strangely of an email repartee with someone at work.... :/
Still, very funny! :D

That's superb, most of the posts on that site raise a wry grin at least and that's one of the better ones. :D
Reminds me of an email we got the other day... would LOVE to post it but would probably get into trouble.
Basically this guy had been called about building a website for one of our companies, and was chasing our colleague to see if the board had made a decision and then flew into a rage stating that he would tell James Caan how inept his staff were!
I think he was just put out because he couldn't say that he had done work for JC... and not likely to, if he talks to his proposed clients in that way!
What an idiot.... found him on LinkedIn, the first line of his profile reads: "I was appointed as a lecturer, the youngest in the country, before I took my first degree finals." Arrogant much?! :p

Well it's because so many people do, if it didn't work they wouldn't keep asking :p
I know, but it's not the asking that annoys me it's the expectation that I should be bloody grateful for the opportunity and the surprise when I say...."Er..no thanks! You wanna use my work - you pay for it!"

I passed the first link on at work and a few others started reading other pages. Queue a fair bit of random laughter occurring throughout the office :D

Oh dear.. that'll suck up the bandwidth limit for sure. Mr Fry generates slashdot worthy traffic figures with his tweets.
He's at it again!

It's very funny but fairly unnecessary, I rather hope that he's not just causing problems for his child by being such a tool. It's one thing to be a pillock when you're just going to affect yourself and whoever you want to annoy, it's quite another if you're interfering with the lives of an innocent party.
I got bored and stopped reading halfway through :/
