After listening to the Radio2 debate the other day, I wondered how the members in here fit into these groups.
Baby Boomer 1943-1963
Generation X 1964-1981
Generation Y 1981-2001
Millenials. 2001+
Obviously none of you fall into the last group, so the poll only has three options

X FTW! :D
I get the 'Baby boomer' reference, but not Generation X/Y. What's the background to these?
In the meantime, I've voted. X marks the spot. ;)

If you goto the radio 2 site, search for Jeremy Vine and listen to the show dated 10/dec (yesterday) and listen from 1:09.15 seconds it should make more sense to you.
I'm a Y but cba to go and listen to find out what it means :p
^^.
Generation Y ...because I want to!
Gen X by only a couple years.

W00t, I'm a Y (just). Listened to the show when it was on, and learnt that I'm also a digital immigrant, altho I feel like a native.

I forgot to add that I'm a gen x.
Isn't "Generation X" named after a book. I think I've read it. It was crap.

You read the 1965 original sociology textbook? Or the 1991 book by Douglas Coupland? :p
Generation Y here by a couple of years for what it matters. Although having just skimmed through the Wikipedia article on the generational terms it seems that Millenials may also refer to Generation Y just to complicate matters?
Generation X sounds so much cooler than Y though
Or the 1991 book by Douglas Coupland? :p
This one. I was unaware of the sociology book. I won't be reading it although I suspect it'll be better than Couplands offering.

I'm in Generation X. Well, not in Generation X, of course. Just a member of Generation X.... Well, when I say a member... I mean, I'm not Billy Idol or anything.... :D
